Why the site exists

Adult products are one of the few product categories where consumers almost never get to see an independent comparison. The retailers’ own descriptions are sales copy, the customer reviews are hard to interpret without the number of reviews, and most comparison sites rank based on commission. The result is that a product for 1 700 SEK and one for 200 SEK are described using the same words.

The site does one thing: it gathers what’s actually published about a product and compares it to named competitors in the same price range. Materials, dimensions, power stages, battery, water-resistance class, warranty, and price — the same information for all models in the category, with a source link for every figure. No product gets a rating until those details are in place.

How the reviews are done

The source material is the manufacturer’s official product page, the specification sheet, and the PDF manual — the last one often contains battery data that the product page leaves out. Price data and article data are taken from 19 Swedish stores’ product feeds via the affiliate networks Adtraction and Addrevenue, and the same physical product is matched across stores using EAN/GTIN. That’s why a page can show all stores that sell exactly the same item, not just a variant with a similar name. The source links are checked automatically before publication.

If the manufacturer does not publish a value, it is stated instead of being guessed. The manufacturer contradicts itself — a charging time of 90 minutes in the specification tab and 150 minutes in the performance graphic on the same page are both shown, and the contradiction is described in the text. That is the only honorable way to handle it, and that’s what separates the site from summaries where the same gap is filled with a made-up number.

The rating is set using five criteria with the same weight, on a 0–10 scale with one decimal place. No product is recommended under 6.0. The ratings can be compared within a category but not between categories. The full method is openly available on the method page, together with the rating scale 0–10.

How the site is funded

Through affiliate commissions from store links. The commission is paid by the store, not by the manufacturer, and it’s the same regardless of which product I recommend — that’s the whole reason it can’t influence a ranking. No store can pay for placement, no manufacturer may read a text in advance, and I neither sell mentions nor sponsored posts. The details are listed in the affiliate policy.

Who writes it

The site is written by one person. It’s a weakness in terms of speed — it takes time to review an entire category properly — and a strength in terms of consistency: the same person reads the sources, the same person evaluates, and uses the same criteria every time. There is no editorial team and no anonymous co-writers.
