The field splits into two halves, and the price doesn’t show which one you get
Nineteen realistic dildos are ranked here, and they don’t sort by brand, length, or price. They sort by what they’re molded in. Six of the nineteen are silicone. Ten are soft-molded PVC. Three are TPE. That boundary runs straight through the ranking: the top five positions are held by the five single-sided silicone models, and it’s not until position six that the first dildo made of PVC appears.
How sharp the boundary is can be seen in the criterion points. The six silicone models score between 7.5 and 9.8 out of ten on the material and hygiene criterion. The thirteen in PVC and TPE score between 3.2 and 5.0. No single product ends up in between. In most product categories, material differences are gradual—here they are binary, and that makes the choice easier than the category’s marketing would have you believe.
Price reveals nothing about which half you end up in. The cheapest in the entire review costs 229 SEK and is TPE without material certification. The second-cheapest costs 239 SEK and is platinum silicone — it is Silexd Silex-D 17,6 cm, which wins the entire list. The most expensive costs 849 SEK and is TPE with an ABS housing. The second-most expensive costs 779 SEK and is PVC. So the two most expensive models in the field are the last of all nineteen.
The conclusion is uncomfortable for the category but simple for the reader. Anyone who wants pore-free silicone doesn’t need to pay more than 239 SEK. Anyone who pays 779 SEK doesn’t get silicone for the money—what the most expensive models sell instead is size and motors, and those are two completely different things.
Porous or pore-free — the only difference in the category that isn’t a matter of taste
Silicone is pore-free. Softened PVC and TPE are not. The difference isn’t aesthetic but hygienic: a pore-free surface can be disinfected, a porous surface can be cleaned but never sterilized, because the microscopic cavities in the material aren’t reached by either soap or alcohol. It’s the same difference as between a glazed and an unglazed pot, and you can’t see it in the product picture.
Exactly one of the nineteen may be boiled. The manufacturer of Silexd Silex-D The Original states three minutes in boiling water as approved sterilization—no other manufacturer in the list writes anything similar about its product. For the TPE models, the limit is significantly lower: Toy Joy publishes 45 degrees as the highest cleaning temperature for its dual-density models, which rules out both boiling and the dishwasher. For the PVC models, no temperature limit is published at all by any of the manufacturers in the list.
That has two practical consequences. If the product is to be shared between people, condoms are required on everything that isn’t silicone, and Toy Joy states that itself for its 23-centimeter model. And a dildo in PVC or TPE should be treated as a consumable: the material softens, discolors, and eventually becomes sticky, while the silicone in the top of the list doesn’t age in the same way. If you include that difference, the price picture in the category is different from the one on the price tag.
Phthalate-free is usually the store’s wording, not the manufacturer’s
Six of the nineteen are sold in Swedish retail with the words phthalate-free or phthalate-free in the store text, without the manufacturer writing anything like that anywhere. This is not a small matter, because phthalates are exactly the characteristic the buyer looks up on Google, and because Kemikalieinspektionen describes them as plasticizers that can affect the hormone system.
What a manufacturer actually certifies is something different from what the store writes. Pipedream, which makes King Cock, publishes an EU declaration of conformity for the shape behind King Cock 15 cm. It certifies conformity with the REACH regulation (EC) 1907/2006 and the phthalate restrictions in Annex XVII, entries 51 and 52, as well as a phthalate content below 1 000 milligrams per kilogram according to California Proposition 65. It is a limit value of 0.1 percent, not a claim of zero—and the declaration is issued for the item number in the color Light, not for Tan.
The best-documented product in the entire review is at the same time the one that comes last.King Cock Plus 16,5 cm ThrustingIt has an openly published EU declaration that covers REACH, RoHS, WEEE, and EMC, with phthalate testing according to IEC 62321-8. It still ranks nineteenth, at 4.6 out of ten. Documentation is not quality—it only makes the claims checkable, which is why documentation is not its own scoring criterion here.
The two issues are also constantly mixed together at the store level. Phthalate-free is about which plasticizers are included. Porosity is about the structure of the surface. A TPE surface can be completely free from regulated phthalates and still be harder to keep clean than silicone. So if you’re looking for a material that can be disinfected, you shouldn’t look for the word phthalate-free, but for the word silicone.
It gets worst when the manufacturer itself contributes to the confusion. The product’s own functional image for Hidden Desire Inferno 28 cm is labeled LIFE-LIKE SILICONE, while the manufacturer’s product data lists PVC and the text talks about body-safe PVC without naming a single plasticizer. The store then adds the word phthalate-free, which the manufacturer never uses. Three links, three different pieces of information about the same item.
That’s how the nineteen were ranked
I haven’t held the products. This isn’t testing; it’s a desk review: twenty-five models checked against the manufacturers’ own specifications, dimension drawings, instructions for use, and EU declarations, with prices taken from all Swedish shops that sell the item. Nineteen are ranked. Six were excluded, with the reason printed further down. Every number in the text has a source link in the product’s own review.
The ratings do not come from the individual reviews. They were written separately, and a rating set without seeing the other eighteen cannot be ranked. All of them were therefore assessed against each other in one single round using five criteria specific to the category. Eighteen of the nineteen ratings were changed. The biggest individual change was the winner’s, which rose from 7.4 to 8.9 when one criterion was removed.
The order was then tested in four rounds by a reviewer tasked with overturning it. Two of the tests changed nothing, one moved a sub-score upward, and one decided the order between two identical models in different colors. The result of the entire test can be summarized in one sentence: no product in the top five beat a product in the top five on more than two of the five criteria.
The five criteria — and why battery and enclosure class are not two of them
Sixteen of the nineteen lack both a battery and a motor. Ranking a category where most of the products are a single molded piece of silicone or plastic by runtime and IP rating would produce sixteen empty boxes and three numbers, and it says nothing about which realistic dildo is best. The standard criteria are therefore replaced with what actually differentiates the models.
The five are material and hygiene, shape and size, attachment and method of use, construction and durability, and price versus performance. Each is scored 0 to 10 and the rating is the average — so they weigh equally, and the ranking follows from the rating and not the other way around. The three models that have a motor have their settings, their remote control, and their enclosure class scored within attachment and method of use respectively construction and durability, so that all nineteen are measured on the same five axes.
A sixth criterion that seven of the original reviews used has been intentionally removed: documentation and warranty. A product does not become worse because the manufacturer’s website is poor. The removal is the whole reason the winner rose so much — Silexd Silex-D 17,6 cmIt was dropped to 4.0 on that criterion, and without that, it shows that it delivers pore-free platinum silicone for a PVC price. The fact that the manufacturer is tight-lipped is something to report, not something to punish the product for.
What counts as realistic here — and why realism is not scored
Realistic means in this list that the molding imitates a penis in shape and surface: glans, veined shaft, skin tone, in several cases scrotum and in one case a movable foreskin. It’s a matter of form and nothing else. The material does not need to look like skin for the shape to be realistic — the roughest model in the lineup is black — and a product with a perfect skin tone is not realistic if the shape depicts a dragon.
Realism isn’t scored for a simple reason: it can’t be measured against a published specification. None of the nineteen manufacturers publishes a Shore hardness, and that’s the only figure that would make skin likeness comparable between two models. What’s left is product photos and adjectives, and ranking based on them would be ranking marketing materials. Realism therefore determines what may be included, not where it ends up.
Three borderline cases had to be allowed to stay, and it should be said plainly instead of being hidden in the list.Hidden Desire Extreme Inflatable Dong is realistically shaped but inflatable, meaning it’s adjustable in girth in a way nothing else in the list is.Get Real Silicone Foreskin Double Dong 40 cm has a glans at each end and is therefore a double dong, not a one-sided model.Hidden Desire Realistic Thrusting & Wiggling has a black motor housing under the realistic part. All three are realistically cast where it counts and therefore stay in — but anyone looking for a simple, massive model should know which three it refers to.
Six models fell under the same rule the other way. Among them is one with a higher rating than sixteen of the nineteen that are ranked here, and it’s still outside the list. The reasons are written out further down, one per model.
Prices: 118 store listings, matched by article number
The price in the table is the lowest price at a store that actually had the item in stock at the time of the check.14 September 2026. The stores are matched by EAN, meaning the same article number, not by product name. In this category, it’s crucial: the same cast mold is sold under at least three spellings — Get Real, ToyJoy, and Toy Joy — and name-matching therefore gives systematically wrong prices.
Together, the nineteen models have 118 store listings. Each model is sold by at least five Swedish stores and the most widespread is sold by nine. The spread within the same article number is large enough to determine the purchase on its own: for King Cock Elite 20 cm there is a 91 percent difference between the cheapest and the most expensive store on the same day, for exactly the same item.
Stock status has to be read together with the price, otherwise the comparison becomes fictitious.King Cock Chubby 25 cm is listed from 595 SEK, but the three cheapest stores were sold out and the lowest price in stock is 779. ToyJoy Get Real Cock With Balls BlackIt is also marked as discontinued by the distributor, and four of seven listings were empty. Both pieces of information affect the ranking, because price-to-performance is one of the five criteria.
The three measurements — and why only one of them is printed on the box
Three measurements determine whether a realistic dildo can be used: total length, insertable length, and the largest diameter. It’s the last two that matter. The first one is what’s listed on the packaging, in the product name, and in the store’s heading.
The difference isn’t marginal in this list. Between total length and insertable length, everything from 1.7 to 7 centimeters disappears depending on the model, and this variation doesn’t follow price, brand, or material class. Two products that are both sold as 23-centimeter models differ by 5.5 centimeters in the measurement that matters.
Insertable length is the only length measurement that matters.
Insertable length is how much of the product actually goes in. The rest is the suction cup, base, and in many cases the shaft plug. That part isn’t wasted—it’s what holds the product in place and what stops against full insertion—but it shouldn’t be counted in the length when two models are compared against each other.
The best-used length across the entire review belongs to King Cock Elite 20 cm: 20.3 out of 22 centimeters is insertable, meaning a 1.7-centimeter base. The least well utilized has Toy Joy Dual Density Dildo 23 cm Balls, where 16 out of 23 centimeters go in and seven centimeters are the shaft plug and stopper. Both are sold as just over twenty centimeters long. One provides four and a half centimeters more than the other.
Sixteen of the nineteen manufacturers publish an insertable measurement separately, which is unusually good for the category. Three do not.Get Real Silicone Foreskin Double Dong 40 cm only lists the total length despite the product having two usable ends. Extreme XL Dong Xtra Thick 28 cm has its 22 centimeters from a single store and not from the manufacturer. Instead, the inflatable model states an interval for the entire product, 18 to 21.5 centimeters.
The rule is simple when buying. Look for the insertable measurement, not the number in the product name. If only one number is shown in the store, it’s almost always the total length, and then the actual measurement is between two and seven centimeters lower.
Diameter matters more than length — 3.5 to 8 centimeters in the same list
Length determines how deep. Diameter determines whether it goes in at all. The range among the nineteen is 3.5 to 8 centimeters, meaning a factor of 2.3 in cross-section—and since circumference increases with diameter, that corresponds to roughly 11 and 25 centimeters around, respectively. The only model in the list that publishes the circumference directly states 23.9 centimeters.
The field is divided into four clear steps. At the narrowest end, the winner and the inflatable model in inserted position both have Ø 3,5 cm. The middle tier, where most are, sits at 4 to 4,7 centimeters: the dual density-dongen, the 18-centimeters model, and the thrusting vibrator. Realistically chunky models are 5,4 to 5,7: King Cock Elite and Silexd The Original at 5,4, King Cock 23 cm at 5,5, and the vibrating King Cock model at 5,7. Two things are worth knowing about the top tier. The difference in the middle buys circumference and nothing else. The second is that weight follows suit: the thickest model in the list weighs two kilograms—almost ten times as much as the lightest.
If you go in with nothing, it’s the diameter that should guide you—not the length. The narrowest model in the list is also the highest ranked, which makes the choice unusually easy—and the inflatable model is the only one that lets the circumference change after insertion instead of before purchase.
When the manufacturer and the shop say different—eight examples from the list
Measurement conflicts are the category’s signature. The same casting mold is sold under three spellings by eighteen shops, and the specification is written differently at every step. Eight examples from the nineteen—everything checked against the manufacturer’s own information.
Vuxen states the total length of King Cock Elite 20 cm up to 20,3 centimeters — it’s the manufacturer’s insertable measurement, not the total length, that is 22. Three out of five shops state 17 centimeters insertable on Silexd Silex-D The Original where the manufacturer states 20, and the manufacturer’s own cardboard box says 26,6 centimeters total length where the specification says 25.
Joyland states 23, 21 and 4,5 centimeters on Toy Joy Get Real Dual Density Dong 23 cm compared with the manufacturer’s 23,5, 20,75 and 4. Vuxenkul states 29 centimeters on King Cock Vibrerande Dildo med Pung without support from any other source — and the manufacturer’s own catalog states 25,0 centimeters insertable there, while the user manual states 20,5.
Five out of eight shops state measurements that don’t match the published measurement drawing for ToyJoy Get Real Cock With Balls 25,5 cm. And on ToyJoy Get Real Cock With Balls 28 cmthe manufacturer contradicts itself: 5,5 centimeter insertable diameter in the specification table, 6,5 in the dimension sketch.
Practically, that means three things. Read the measurement from the manufacturer and not from the store. Check that the EAN code in the store is the same as the manufacturer’s, because several stores sell the same barcode under two different lengths. And when two sources disagree without either of them being the manufacturer, count on the lower number.
The suction cup carries a load — and five of nineteen publish both figures
The suction cup is found on sixteen of the nineteen models and is the category’s most common selling point. It’s also what people complain about the most, and the reason is almost always the same: the suction cup is too small for the product’s weight, or the surface is wrong.
To judge it in advance requires two numbers — the suction cup’s diameter and the product’s weight. Exactly five of the nineteen manufacturers publish both. For the remaining fourteen, the question can’t be answered from the specification, no matter how much you read, and it’s one of the clearest information gaps in the entire category.
Surface vs weight: the five models where the calculation is possible
The load-bearing capacity of a suction cup follows the surface, and the surface grows with the square of the diameter. So a suction cup that is fifty percent wider has more than twice the surface area. That’s the simple physics behind the whole question, and it makes the five published pairs comparable.

Where those figures are missing, it’s still possible to reason.Extreme XL Dong Xtra Thickweighs two kilograms without the suction cup’s diameter being published anywhere, andHidden Desire Inferno 28 cmweighs 1,380 grams with the same silence about the base. If the product is heavy and the stopper isn’t mismeasured, hands-free use shouldn’t be taken for granted.
What makes a suction-cup stopper release
A suction-cup stopper holds through suction pressure, and suction pressure requires a surface that is smooth, airtight, and dry in the right way. Four things break that, and three of them are the surface rather than the product: a porous surface like untreated wood or a tiled wall, a grout line in the tile under the edge of the stopper, and a surface with grease or a silicone-based lubricant on it. The fourth is leverage — a long model that’s loaded from the side lifts the stopper’s edge in a way a short model doesn’t.
Practically, that means the roughest and heaviest model in the list is the hardest to get to sit properly, while the two lightest sit best despite having the smallest stoppers. In this category, weight beats surface area, because the weight range is nearly tenfold and the stopper span only goes from 6.6 to 9.3 centimeters.
Three models in the list have no suction-cup stopper at all and shouldn’t be bought for hands-free use: the inflatable one, which is only kept in place by the hose, the double dildo, which has neither base nor stopper, and King Cock Plus Thrusting, which instead has a motor housing 10.5 centimeters to hold onto. The only model with a removable and adjustable suction-cup base isHidden Desire Realistic Thrusting & Wiggling— for all the others, the stopper is molded as one piece with the product, with the exception of King Cock Vibrerande, where it can be unscrewed.
Harness and O-ring: the measurement no manufacturer publishes
Of the nineteen, eight are listed as harness-compatible by the manufacturer themselves, and another four only by the stores. That sounds like a useful piece of information and it’s almost never, for a single reason: the word “harness-compatible” says nothing about which O-ring will fit.
The measurement a harness requires is the shaft’s neck diameter, meaning the thickness just above the base where the ring is supposed to close. Not a single one of the nineteen manufacturers publishes that number. The review of King Cock Elite 20 cmexplicitly notes that, and the same gap applies across the entire field — for several models, neither base diameter, suction cup diameter, nor neck measurements are published, which are exactly the three figures a harness user needs.
Two construction details determine more in practice than the labeling. A shaft-in-the-way issue: a model with a molded shaft requires a larger O-ring than a model without one, and several of the series’ harness-compatible variants are shaft-less for precisely that reason —King Cock Chubbyhas a strap-on-labeled base without a shaft. Sixteen of the nineteen have a suction cup or a wide base that fulfills that function. Cleaning, lubricant, and how long it lasts
Care differs more between the two material halves than any other attribute in the category, and this is also where the person who buys cheap pays the difference over time. A silicone dildo is something you own. A PVC dildo is something you use up.
What can be cleaned, and what can only be rinsed
The basics are the same for all nineteen: lukewarm water and mild soap or toy wash, the entire surface, directly after use and before the product is put away. The difference lies in what you can do in addition to that.
Silicone can be disinfected.Silexd Silex-D The Original is the only one on the list where the manufacturer explicitly approves boiling — three minutes — and it is the only model where sterilization is therefore specified and not just assumed. For the other silicone models, there is no explicit statement, which means that the surface is non-porous but that boiling happens at your own risk.
TPE has a published upper limit of 45 degrees at Toy Joy, which rules out boiling, the dishwasher, and hot rinsing. PVC has no published limit at all with any manufacturer in the list, and the absence of a limit should not be read as durability. Common to both is that the surface is porous: it can be cleaned but never sterilized, and splitting therefore requires a condom.
The three motorized models have an extra restriction.Hidden Desire Realistic Thrusting & Wiggling is IPX6 according to IEC 60529 and can be rinsed under the tap but not submerged.King Cock Plus Thrusting is IPX4, and the manufacturer explicitly forbids submersion. The manufacturers aren’t much better. King Cock 23 cmcompletely lacks any indication of which lubricant should be used, and for several of the PVC models, no user manual is published at all. The exception is Silexd, whose care and lubricant instructions are the most thorough in the entire review. If you stick to water-based, you never need to decide who’s right.
Motorized, thrusting and inflatable — three out of nineteen, and what the technology costs
Sixteen of the nineteen lack both a motor and a battery, and fifteen of them are a single molded piece with not a single moving part. It isn’t a shortcoming in the assortment but the nature of the category: a realistic dildo is sold based on its shape and material, and the motor is an add-on that only a few models have. That also means the technology is expensive here in a way it isn’t in other categories.
The three motorized ones cost 495, 795, and 849 SEK and lie in positions five, nine and nineteen. So their average price is almost three times the winner’s, and the winner has no electronics at all. None of the three publishes a complete specification: run time, charging time, battery capacity and sound level are missing on one, AAA batteries that aren’t included and a mention of water resistance without a rating on another, and 25 minutes of run time after two and a half hours of charging on the third — which is also the most expensive model in the field.
What actually sets the three apart is the movement, not the strength. A thrusting function means that a piston drives the shaft forward and back with a specified stroke: 2 centimeters for one, 2.5 for the other. Vibration is the usual eccentric motor. The only model that has both plus a side-to-side sweeptherefore has the most use cases in the entire list, and it’s the only one of the three that can be rinsed under the tap.
The fourth technical solution has no motor at all. Hidden Desire Extreme Inflatable Dongis inflated by hand from Ø 3.5 to 6 centimeters after insertion, with a quick valve that empties it with a single hand motion. It’s the only way in the list to change the size after purchase, it costs 259 SEK, and the price of the solution is more moving parts that can break.
The conclusion for this category is that the motor should be bought for a specific movement you know you want, not as a general upgrade. If you pay for electronics, you’re effectively paying away the silicone: the most expensive model in the list is TPE, the second most expensive manual one is PVC, and the cheapest platinum silicone model costs 239 SEK.
What the price actually buys — the relationship is negative in this category
The price range among the nineteen is 229 to 849 SEK—so just under four times. The usual pattern in a product category is that the rating increases with the price, slowly and with exceptions. Here it’s the other way around.
The two most expensive models in the review end up last and second-to-last. The most expensive, at 849 SEK, gets 4.6 out of ten. The second-most expensive, at 779 SEK, gets 5.5. At the same time, a model at 239 SEK wins the whole list, and the third-cheapest, at 259 SEK, is in fourth place. The three cheapest models in the field are in first, eighth, and tenth place—none of them at the bottom.
The explanation is that in this category, the money usually buys something other than quality. They buy girth: King Cock Chubby 25 cm costs 430 SEK more than the series’ 23-centimeter model for the same PVC and a tenth of a centimeter shorter insertable length. They buy motors, and the motors come with TPE instead of silicone. And they buy length—but length is the cheapest thing here, at 11 SEK per insertable centimeter for the cheapest model on the list.
What they don’t need to buy, though, is the material. Pore-free platinum silicone with a suction cup costs 239 SEK. The same price gets you King Cock 15 cm in PVC. So nothing extra is paid for what actually separates the two halves of the field, and that is the single most useful discovery in the entire review.
Three things are still worth paying more for when they’re needed. Insertable length over twenty centimeters in pore-free silicone is only available from King Cock Elite 20 cm for 591 SEK. Coated sterilization is only available from Silexd The Original for 479. Adjustable girth is only available on the inflatable for 259. Everything else in this list that costs more than three hundred kronor is questionable.
Seven mistakes this category punishes more harshly than others
Buying based on the numbers in the product name. It’s the total length, and between two and seven centimeters of it won’t fit in. Two models that both are called 23 cm differ by four and a half centimeters in insertable length.
Interpreting the word phthalate-free in the text in the shop as a material statement. Six of the nineteen include that word without the manufacturer writing it themselves, and even where the manufacturer also certifies something, it’s a threshold value of 0.1 percent—not a claim of zero.
Assuming that phthalate-free means hygienic. Those are two different questions. A TPE- or PVC surface can be free from regulated phthalates and still be porous, meaning it’s impossible to disinfect. The word that determines hygiene is silicone.
Choosing by thickness. The diameter ranges from 3.5 to 8 centimeters in the list, and it’s that measurement that determines whether the product can be used at all. The thickest model also weighs two kilograms, which makes it difficult both to hold and to keep it in place.
