Where the motor sits determines what you actually buy
A prostate vibrator almost always consists of two parts: a curved part that is inserted, and an arm that stays outside against the perineum. It sounds like a design detail. In fact, it is the single most important technical difference in the entire category, because the two parts can be driven in three completely different ways—and manufacturers rarely spell out which way it is.
Either each part has its own motor, and then they can be set independently. Or there is a single motor in the inner part, and the arm against the perineum gets whatever is transmitted through the material. Or the motor sits in the base—a detachable bullet—and then the plug-in/inserted part vibrates only indirectly. Three designs, three different products, the same words on the package.
Two models in the ranking cost almost exactly the same and solve this in the opposite way:Svakom Iker Neofor 591 SEK has two motors with a separate button on the body, while Rocks-Off O Boyfor 319 SEK has a single bullet in the base. O Boy wins on material, power, and price — but gets 5.6 out of 10 for fit and controls, and that's the whole reason it ends up second and not first. That difference doesn't show up in any comparison table from any competitor.
Six have two motors—three require a phone to distinguish between them
Six of the fifteen ranked have two separate motors: Svakom Iker Neo, Lovense Edge 2, Lelo Hugo 2, We-Vibe Vector+, Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro and Rebel Cock Ring with RC. Two motors are what makes it possible to run the inner and the outer part at different levels, and that's the function category it's sold under.
But having two motors isn't the same as being able to use them independently. With Lovense Edge 2, they can only be controlled separately via the Lovense Remote—the button on the product only steps through preset modes. Lelo Hugo 2 has ten modes, of which four are available in the toy and six only in the app, and without the app, the modes also run at one hundred percent intensity with no strength adjustment. We-Vibe Vector+ has ten named modes on the button, but separate motor control requires the app's Multi Vibe.
The pattern is worth stopping to consider, because it goes against what the price suggests:
The three that require a phone cost 1 095, 1 182, and 931 SEK. The three that don't cost 591, 949, and 676 SEK. Svakom Iker Neo provides two buttons, one per motor, plus memory, a travel lock, and battery indicators in four steps — all without needing to create an account and without anything needing to be paired. That's the single feature that lifted it to first place in the calibration.
It matters practically for a reason that's specific to this exact product type: the product sits in the body, behind you, without being held. You don't see the button. Having to unlock a phone, open an app, and wait for a Bluetooth connection to lower the strength is another thing here than on a product you hold in your hand.
Two models where the insert part doesn't vibrate on its own
Rocks-Off builds its entire Boy series around a detachable bullet in RO-80mm format that's pushed into a through channel in the base. This applies to both Rocks-Off O Boy and Rocks-Off Rude Boy 7-speed. So the motor is in the outer part against the perineum, and the insert portion vibrates only through the silicone.
It’s not a defect—it’s a design choice with clear consequences in both directions. The drawback shows in the rating: O Boy gets 5.6 and Rude Boy 5.4 for fit and controls, the lowest among the top seven, because a single button that only steps forward is all there is.
The advantage is that the product can be repaired. The bullet is a spare part that can be replaced separately, and it’s powered by a replaceable battery instead of a built-in lithium cell. A Rocks-Off model is never rendered unusable by a battery aging, and that applies to no other model in this ranking. That’s why Rude Boy gets the writer’s pick despite a score of 7.7.
Among the three excluded ones, the same construction appears in two other models as well, both from Rebel—there with a single vibration mode and, in one of them, a blind cavity behind the bullet that must be cleaned and dried separately. The reasons are further down.
So eighteen prostate vibrators were ranked
The basis is the manufacturers’ own materials: eighteen models reviewed against product specifications, manuals, dimension sketches, and EU declarations of conformity, with prices taken from all Swedish shops that sell each item. Every number in the table above has a source link in the product’s review.
That’s also why the list can be checked. In this category, the temptation to guess is greater than in any other on the site, because the two most important measurements—insertable length and the largest diameter—are missing for nearly half of the manufacturers and can be estimated from a product image. Here, instead, it’s written out when the information is missing, and whose job it is when it is present.
What counted as a prostate vibrator
Three requirements. The product must have a motor—a glass massage wand without electronics can’t be ranked on a list with the word vibrator in the headline, no matter how good it is. It must be marketed by the manufacturer for prostate or P-spot stimulation, not just as an anal product in general. And it must be sold by at least four Swedish shops, so the price can be checked with more than one party.
That produced eighteen models from twelve brands, between 249 and 1,182 SEK. Fifteen are ranked here. Three didn’t make it in, and the reason is spelled out further down—no other guide in this niche states what was left out.
Products that are anal plugs without a motor, or vibrators without a curved prostate geometry, belong in other rankings. The twenty plugs are in the the review of anal plugs, and the entire range is listed in the catalog of anal toys.
The five criteria, and the two that changed names for this category
Material and hygiene, water resistance and cleaning, power supply and operating time, fit and controls, and price for performance. Each criterion is scored 0–10, and the rating is the average of the five—therefore all five weigh equally. The ranking follows from the rating, never the other way around.
Two of the five are named something else here than in the site’s other guides, and it isn’t cosmetics. The criterion is called power supply and operating time instead of battery and charging, because four of the eighteen aren’t charged at all and are powered by replaceable N- or AAA cells. If the criterion had been called battery and charging, those four would not have been possible to score.
Fit and controls are combined into one criterion, because in this category they are the same issue. A flexible neck without separate motor control and ten positions in an entirely fixed body solve both parts of the problem—the product is designed to be used without hands, and then geometry and control are the same decision. Splitting them would have given extra weight to one issue.
Sound level is not included. Fourteen of the eighteen manufacturers publish no dB figure at all, and the four that do provide a ceiling—“≤ 60 dB”, “under 60 dB”, “≤ 55 dB”, “43 dB”—without saying at what distance it is measured. Those two kinds of figures cannot be compared with each other, and a criterion that only four out of the eighteen can be scored is not a criterion. Writing “discreet” about a product whose manufacturer publishes no measured value is inventing information.
Five objections to the order, tested one by one
The calibration is not complete when the ratings are set. Five objections were formulated against the order that turned out, with the assignment of overturning it. Three changed a rating; two changed the order.
Does Svakom Iker Neo only win on price? No—but almost. On the four other criteria, Lovense Edge 2 leads with an average of 8.3 versus Iker’s 7.8. The difference is that Iker provides separate motor control directly on the product, which Edge 2 only provides via the app, and it costs 504 SEK less. The price criterion weighs the same as the other four. The placement remains.
Is Rocks-Off O Boy really second, ahead of both Hugo 2 and Edge 2? It has the best material disclosure in the field, a published operating time of 2 hours 30 minutes, and a battery that is replaceable. The water-resistance rating was lowered from 8.5 to 8.3 because IPX7 only appears in the manufacturer’s product range specification and not in the product’s own spec table. It still retains its place.
We-Vibe Vector+ was third before calibration with 7.9. But the company’s own notes say “no material disclosure” and “no published IPX rating.” The rating was based on the brand, not on published information. Vector+ drops to 7.3 and eighth place—the single biggest change from the calibration, and the one that cost the most to make.
Hueman Black Hole scored 9.0 for water resistance despite the fact that its own battery note describes an open DC pin connector in the housing. An open charging contact and IPX7 cannot both be true. Lowered to 8.0.
Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro, on the other hand, was underestimated. It is one of the few in the field with a published EU declaration of phthalates—a document, not a claim—which raised the material rating from 7.5 to 8.4 and the product from 6.1 to 6.4. IPX5 still rules out submersion, and that’s why it doesn’t go any higher.
Prices: matched by item number, checked against stock status
The price in the table is the lowest price at a store that actually had the item in stock13 September 2026. The fifteen ranked models produced 88 store listings, averaging just under six stores per product. The range within the same item is larger than you think: Hueman Black Hole costs 449 SEK at the cheapest store and 78 percent more at the most expensive—the same EAN, the same day.
The stores are matched by item number, not by product name. The same model is sold under different names in different stores, and name-matching gives the wrong price. Two of the eighteen—NS Novelties Renegade The Handyman and Apex Thrusting—lack an EAN in the manufacturer’s own documentation. For them, the stores are instead matched by the manufacturer’s item number, and no item number has been found.
Stock status isn’t a formality here. Three of the fifteen had the item in-house at fewer than half of the stores that list it when checked: Hidden Desire Bullseye at three of five, TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover at two of four, and Rebel Cock Ring with RC at two of five. A lowest price from a sold-out store isn’t a price.
What this guide is not about
Search results for prostate massage are full of health content, and that spreads to product pages. This guide is about products: dimensions, materials, enclosure classes, power supply, and price. It says nothing about what prostate stimulation does or does not do for health, because none of the eighteen products is a medical device and no manufacturer has documentation for such a claim.
If you have issues with the prostate, blood in the urine, pain, or other symptoms, 1177 Vårdguiden and a primary care clinic are the right place to go, not a comparison of sex toys. This also applies if something hurts during use: stop, and seek care if the symptoms don’t go away.
How to choose a prostate vibrator — in the order the questions come
Six questions determine whether the product will still be used in a year, and they come in a specific order. Can it be worn at all — meaning which measurements are published? Is there a ring molded into it, and if so, what inner diameter does the ring have? Where is the motor located? Can it be rinsed, and how do you know? What powers it, and which cable does it require? And what controls it—an invisible button, a remote control, or a phone?
Price loosely correlates with the answers. The winner costs 591 SEK and the second place 319, meaning the third-lowest price of the fifteen. The most expensive model in the ranking is in eighth place. The two cheapest, both at 299 SEK, are in twelfth and fifteenth place — but not for the same reasons, and it’s worth understanding why before concluding that cheap is bad.
The word “prostate vibrator” covers four noticeably different products. The difference between them isn’t functions but what you’re committed to once you’ve bought one: the angle, the control, or both.
Adjustable shaft with a separate arm — five models. The neck can be bent or twisted so the angle can be tailored: Svakom Iker Neo, Lovense Edge 2, and Lelo Hugo 2 have a bendable neck, Svakom Vick Neo 2 has a neck that twists 180 degrees, and We-Vibe Vector+ has an adjustable insertion arm. This is the most expensive group — 591 to 1 182 SEK — and the only one where the fit can be corrected after purchase.
Fixed plug with a perineum arm — four models. Rocks-Off O Boy, Rocks-Off Rude Boy, Hidden Desire Bullseye, and TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover have a fixed geometry. If it doesn’t fit you, there’s nothing you can change, but the construction is, in return, simpler and cheaper: 299 to 549 SEK.
Ring and plug in one piece — five models. Hueman Black Hole, Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro, Rebel Cock Ring with RC, Pretty Love Warren, and NS Novelties Renegade The Handyman have a penis- or balls ring molded into the same body as the plug. Two fits in one purchase, and a time limit that applies to both. Read the next section before choosing any of them.
Mechanical thrusting function — one model without a ring. Apex Thrusting moves the insertion part back and forth instead of just vibrating. NS Novelties Renegade does it too, but it also has a ring and therefore belongs to the group above. Thrusting is the only function on the market that can’t be had for under 695 SEK.
One thing that doesn’t separate the groups: all fifteen have a base or an arm that’s wider than the shaft and stays outside the body. That’s the basic requirement for an anal product, and in this category all of them meet it — unlike in the plug range, where The width of the base is what distinguishes the models. Here, the base isn’t what sets them apart—it’s a prerequisite.
Five have a ring molded into the plug — then 20 to 30 minutes applies for the whole product
One third of the ranking is made up of combination products where a penis- or balls ring is attached in the same piece as the anal part. It looks like two products for the price of one. In practice, it’s a single product with two fits and a shared time limit, and both of those things are overlooked in every competing guide.
Fit first. The ring has a single inner measurement, and it can’t be exchanged. Four of the five list it: Hueman Black Hole 3,6 centimeters, Rebel Cock Ring with RC 3,7 centimeters in stretchable material, Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro 4,4 centimeters fixed, Pretty Love Warren 4,4 centimeters fixed. NS Novelties Renegade lists no measurement at all for its ring. This is a bigger gap here than with a standalone ring, because you can’t opt out of that part: if the ring doesn’t fit, the entire product is unusable—including the prostate part you actually bought it for.
The difference between fixed and stretchable material determines how much the margin matters. Rebel Cock Ring and You2Toys explicitly state stretchable rings, while Hueman and Pipedream state fixed measurements without adjustment. If you want a ring where you can choose the size, it doesn’t belong in this category—then it’s a standalone penis ringthe right product, and a prostate vibrator without a ring is the other half of the purchase.
The time limit is the more important point. 1177 Vårdguiden states that a penis ring should not be used for more than 20 to 30 minutes, because it keeps blood in the penis, and RFSU states the same limit with the justification that longer time can cause tissue damage. With a standalone ring, you take it off after half an hour. On Pretty Love Warren, Hueman Black Hole, Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro, Rebel Cock Ring with RC, and NS Novelties Renegade, the ring is fixed to the plug and can’t be removed separately—so the limit applies to the entire product.
In plain terms, that means the operating time in the specification isn’t the number that actually controls things. Pipedream states 60 minutes of operation, and Hueman 50. The ring sets the ceiling far below both. And conversely: the person who chooses a combination product in order to be able to wear it for a long time has chosen the wrong product. Take it off immediately if there’s numbness, discoloration, or pain.
Insertable length and maximum diameter—both are listed by seven of fifteen
These are the two figures that determine whether the product can be used at all, and they don’t appear in any Swedish competitor’s table. They’re also not listed by all manufacturers. Seven of the fifteen ranked list both insertable length and the largest insertion diameter under their own names:
Rebel Cock Ring with RC 8,5 centimeters with 1,0–2,9 centimeters. Svakom Vick Neo 2 8,0 with 3,0. Lovense Edge 2 9,1 with 3,5. Svakom Iker Neo 10,0 with 3,0. Hidden Desire Bullseye 10,0 with 4,0. Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro 10,2 with 3,3. Hueman Black Hole 11,0 with 3,3.
Three publish only half. Rocks-Off O Boy states an insertable length of 90 millimeters, but reports the thickness as circumference, 78,5 millimeters, not as diameter. Lelo Hugo 2 states the insertion part as 72 millimeters but publishes no diameter at all. TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover states the largest diameter as 3 centimeters but no insertable length—the 12 centimeters listed in the stores is total length including the base.
And five publish neither: Rocks-Off Rude Boy, We-Vibe Vector+, Pretty Love Warren, NS Novelties Renegade The Handyman, and Apex Thrusting. That We-Vibe charges 1 182 SEK—the highest price in the field—without publishing either measurements, weight, or insertion depth for the model is the most remarkable single gap in the review.
The practical range among the published measurements is therefore 7.2 to 11.0 centimeters in length and 2.9 to 4.0 centimeters as the widest. The price says nothing about where in that range a product falls: the shortest insertion measurement in the entire field is on Lelo Hugo 2 for 931 SEK, and the longest is on Hueman Black Hole for 449.
Three pitfalls are worth knowing before you compare figures from different sources:
Circumference is not diameter. Rocks-Off lists 78.5 millimeters for O Boy, which is the circumference. If you read it as a width, you get a product that’s three times as thick as it actually is. The same model is listed by Vuxen as 5.5 centimeters and by Joyland as 9.1 centimeters in circumference—two stores, two answers, and the manufacturer’s own middle between them.
Total length is not insertable length. Mshop lists Apex total length of 142 millimeters as the insertion measurement. TOYZ4LOVERS 12 centimeters includes the T-shaped base, which by design lies outside the body. The difference isn’t marginal.
Store information diverges more than you might think. Three stores list three different lengths for Rocks-Off Rude Boy: 12, 12.5, and 13.4 centimeters. Vuxen lists 4.5 centimeters for Hidden Desire Bullseye, where the manufacturer’s dimension sketch says 4.0. Mshop lists 3.6 centimeters for Hueman, where the manufacturer’s packaging says 3.3. If the manufacturer’s measurements are missing, the advice is simple: base yourself on the largest value any source provides, not the smallest.
Can it be rinsed? The field sorted by how strong the evidence is
For a product that’s inserted into the anus, the question of whether it can be rinsed under the tap or only wiped off isn’t a convenience issue. It determines how clean the product actually becomes. And it’s the question where the category has the worst basis of all on the site: exactly three out of eighteen carry an enclosure rating in the manufacturer’s own documentation without any other document from the same manufacturer contradicting it.
A yes/no column would therefore be misleading. Here is the entire field sorted in six levels by how strong the evidence is, not by what’s written in the store’s product text:
Level 1 — rating in the manufacturer’s manual or EU declaration, undisputed. Lovense Edge 2 (IPX7 according to IEC 60529, magnetic charging without an open charging port), Lelo Hugo 2 (IPX7 labeled in the manual, charging via contact pins without an opening), and Hidden Desire Bullseye (IPX7, one meter for thirty minutes). Three out of eighteen.
Level 2 — a class from the manufacturer, but at the assortment level instead of in the product’s own table. Rocks-Off O Boy and Rocks-Off Rude Boy. The information comes from the right party, but it applies to the whole series, and one of six shops also lists only splash resistance for Rude Boy. That’s why O Boy’s waterproofness rating was lowered from 8.5 to 8.3 in the calibration.
Level 3 — a class that is contradicted by another document from the same manufacturer. Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro (the manual IPX5, the EU declaration IPX7), Rebel Cock Ring with RC (IPX7 icon on the box, the instructions say ”Do not submerge the device in water!”) and Hueman Black Hole (IPX7 printed on the packaging, but the charging connector is an open DC pin). When a manufacturer contradicts itself, the more cautious statement applies.
Level 4 — the word ”waterproof” without a class. Svakom Iker Neo and Svakom Vick Neo 2, where IPX7 only appears in marketing material and not in the manual; TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover, labeled ”waterproof” but with an open DC connector in the base; and We-Vibe Vector+, whose manual has both IPX4 and IPX7 in the symbol legend without either of them applying to the model. Four items.
Level 5 — no information at all, and shops that contradict each other. NS Novelties Renegade The Handyman (one shop IPX7, another IPX5), Apex Thrusting (IPX7, IPX5 and ”100 percent waterproof” from three shops), Pretty Love Warren (three shops write ”waterproof,” the manufacturer says nothing) and Rebel Bead-shaped. Three different answers from the shop side are worse evidence than no answer at all, because it looks like information.
Level 6 — the manufacturer explicitly says no. You2Toys Vibrating Prostate Plug states only splash protection itself, and Rebel Cock Shaped Vibe explicitly advises against submersion. Both are included among the excluded ones below, and partly for that reason.
What the classes mean in practice: IPX7 means, according to the IEC 60529 standard, that the product can handle immersion of one meter for thirty minutes—meaning the entire product can be rinsed under the tap and not just wiped off. IPX5 means it can handle water jets but not immersion. More terms are in the glossary.
Two things apply regardless of class. The remote controls are usually not classified—Svakom explicitly states that Vick Neo 2’s remote control is not waterproof, and Hidden Desire provides no class for its. Keep them dry. And IPX7 is not the same as boilable: Lovense states for Edge 2 that the product must not be exposed to extreme heat or cold, which rules out both boiling and the dishwasher despite the class.
Rechargeable cell or replaceable battery — and the cable that almost nobody has at home
Thirteen of the fifteen are chargeable. Two aren’t, and those two are more interesting than the thirteen.
Rocks-Off O Boy and Rocks-Off Rude Boy are powered by a battery in N-size, LR1, that sits in the removable bullet. The result is that they are never rendered unusable by an aged cell: the battery is replaced, and the moment the motor becomes bad the whole bullet is replaced as a spare part. O Boy also has the longest published running time in the field—2 hours 30 minutes—which is longer than any of the rechargeable models can manage. The price of this is an ongoing battery cost and an unusual format—N-cells aren’t available in every store, and the manufacturer explicitly advises against rechargeable cells in this format.
Among the thirteen rechargeable ones, there’s one detail that’s worth the whole section: exactly one uses a standard USB-C cable. That is Hidden Desire Bullseye. The other twelve either require a magnetic cable that fits only that model—Svakom Iker Neo, Svakom Vick Neo 2, Lovense Edge 2, We-Vibe Vector+, Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro, Rebel Cock Ring with RC—or a product-specific DC power connector, such as Lelo Hugo 2, Hueman Black Hole, Pretty Love Warren and TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover. For NS Novelties Renegade and Apex Thrusting, no source even states the connector type.
This isn’t a small detail, for two reasons. If you lose a magnetic special cable, the product is unusable until a new one is ordered from the manufacturer—and both Svakom, Lovense and We-Vibe explicitly exclude the charging cable from the warranty. In addition, a product-specific DC connector is an opening in the housing, which is exactly what makes Hueman Black Hole’s IPX7 rating not hold together.
The running times are the last thing. Eleven of fifteen publish one, and two of the eleven only via the retailer channel:
Rocks-Off O Boy 2 h 30 min. We-Vibe Vector+ 120 min on a 90-minute charge, best ratio among the rechargeable ones. Svakom Vick Neo 2 2 h on 2.5 h. Lovense Edge 2 130 min at low levels but only 65 at high, on about a 100-minute charge. Svakom Iker Neo 1.5 h on 1.5 h. Hidden Desire Bullseye and Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro 60 min on 90. Lelo Hugo 2 60 min on 120, the shortest of the rechargeable ones. Hueman Black Hole 50 min on 100. NS Novelties Renegade and Apex Thrusting 50 min on 120, but only according to the stores.
Four publish no running time at all: Rocks-Off Rude Boy, Rebel Cock Ring with RC, Pretty Love Warren and TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover. For the Rude Boy, it matters less, because the battery is replaced. For the other three, it means you buy a rechargeable product without knowing how long a charge lasts.
Battery capacity is published by three: Svakom Iker Neo 550 mAh, Svakom Vick Neo 2 500 mAh and Lelo Hugo 2 420 mAh. Everyone else leaves it out. Iker Neo’s 550 mAh is the biggest published in the field, and the manufacturer also states voltage and current — battery data in that detail isn’t available from anyone else in the review.
Button you don’t see, remote control, or phone
The control weighs more in this category than in any other, for one simple reason: the product stays in the body behind you and isn’t held. The button is out of sight and often out of comfortable reach. How you change the intensity is therefore part of the product, not an accessory.
Nine of the fifteen are delivered with a physical remote control: Svakom Vick Neo 2, Hidden Desire Bullseye, We-Vibe Vector+, Hueman Black Hole, Rebel Cock Ring with RC, Pretty Love Warren, NS Novelties Renegade, Apex Thrusting and TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lover. It requires neither an app, an account, nor pairing, and the remote control can be handed to someone else. The range is stated by Hueman and Rebel as up to eight meters.
Three use an app instead of a remote control: Svakom Iker Neo, Lovense Edge 2 and Lelo Hugo 2. Of those, Iker Neo is the only one where the app isn’t needed to access the full function — the two motors each have their own button on the body. With Edge 2 and Hugo 2, half of the function is behind the phone: Edge 2 provides separate motor control only in the app, Hugo 2 offers four out of ten modes without it, and no intensity steps at all.
Three are controlled solely from a button on the product: Rocks-Off O Boy, Rocks-Off Rude Boy and Pipedream Ass-Gasm Pro. On the two Rocks-Off models, the button sits at the end of the bullet and steps forward only through the modes — there is no way back without going around the loop. Pipedream is the exception in the group: two motors that are controlled independently, directly on the product, without an app.
The remote controls’ batteries are worth mentioning, because they’re consumables that are rarely brought up. Rebel Cock Ring and You2Toys use CR2032, Pretty Love Warren uses a replaceable AAA battery, and We-Vibes’ two manual editions state 4LR44 and CR2032 respectively for the same product. Don’t buy a replacement battery based on what the manual says—first open the compartment cover.
An argument that’s often made for the app is long-distance control. That’s true—Lovense and Lelo offer it—but it’s meant so that a partner can control from a distance, not so that you can reach the button yourself. For use on your own, a remote control in hand is usually the simpler answer, and nine of the fifteen give you that without needing to create an account.
Silicone, ABS and the surfaces that can’t be scrubbed
All fifteen have silicone against the skin. The difference comes down to three things: what’s underneath the silicone, whether the manufacturer actually declares anything about phthalates, and whether the surface can be cleaned properly.
Only two models state the silicone type: Rocks-Off O Boy and Rocks-Off Rude Boy are platinum-cured, with explicit zero tolerance for phthalates, TPE, and latex across the entire range. That gives them both 9.0 for materials—the highest in the review—and they cost 319 and 369 SEK. The others only say “silicone” or “body-friendly silicone,” often with ABS plastic in the frame, which in itself is unproblematic: untreated ABS is just as easy to clean as silicone as long as the surface is intact.
Phthalate declarations, on the other hand, are rare—and that is the claim that competitors most often come up with. Four publish something under their own name: Rocks-Off for both of its models, Pipedream via an EU declaration of conformity, and TOYZ4LOVERS via its own consumer shop. Lovense has a REACH commitment in the Edge 2 manual, which is something else than a phthalate declaration but still more than nothing. All the others—including Lelo, Svakom, We-Vibe, and Hidden Desire—publish no explicit declaration about phthalates, BPA, or latex. For Hueman Black Hole, the “phthalate-free” information comes only from the shops, not from the manufacturer.
Three surfaces and geometries require special handling:
Polyurethane coating. You2Toys, Rebel Cock Shaped Vibe, and Rebel Bead-shaped Prostate Stimulator have silicone with a PU layer on top. It’s a wear layer that’s destroyed by strong cleaning agents and can be worn away if you scrub—and it can’t be repaired. All three are among the excluded ones, partly for that reason.
Bullet channel cavities. On the Rocks-Off models, the bullet channel runs straight through the base, so it can be rinsed out—that’s an advantage. On the Rebel Cock Shaped Vibe, the corresponding hollow is a blind cavity that must be cleaned and dried separately.
Ridges and beads. Pretty Love Warren is ridged, and Rebel Bead-shaped is bead-shaped and ball-shaped. Structure on a surface that’s inserted means more work afterwards, and TOYZ4LOVERS Secret Lovers’ smooth, seam-free shafts are the simple opposite—that’s the whole reason it gets 7.7 for materials despite costing 299 SEK.
Cleaning is in itself simple: lukewarm water and mild soap before and after each use. Rocks-Off explicitly advises against dish soap and alcohol. If the product is IPX7-rated, the entire body can be rinsed; if it isn’t, or if the evidence is weak according to the section above, wipe it instead and keep the charging contact dry.
Lubricant: water-based, plentiful. Silicone-based lubricant against a silicone surface breaks down the surface over time and makes it porous—and a porous surface can no longer be cleaned properly. That applies to all fifteen models, and it also applies when a manufacturer writes that all lubricants work—NS Novelties does, and that’s bad advice.
What applies when something stays inside the body
Four things—and they’re not negotiable. They’re listed here and not at the very bottom, because they belong to the choice and not to the use.
Base. Everything that’s inserted anally must have a base or arm that’s wider than the shaft and can’t pass through. All fifteen ranked models meet that requirement—Rocks-Off O Boy has a wide crosswise base, Rebel Bead-shaped has a fourteen-centimeter-long crosswise base, and Apex has a wide flange with a perineum arm. If you buy something outside this list, the first thing you should check is that.
Time limit for combination products. The five models with a molded ring fall under 1177’s and RFSU’s limit of 20 to 30 minutes for the entire product, not just the ring. The runtime in the specification is irrelevant compared to that limit.
Lubricant and speed. Use plenty of water-based lubricant, and start with the narrowest size you have. The range in the field runs from 2.9 to 4.0 centimeters among the published diameters, which is a noticeable difference—and five models don’t publish any diameter at all.
When you should stop. Stop if there’s pain, irritation, or bleeding, and seek care if the symptoms are persistent. Lovense states for Edge 2 that the product is intended for personal use and should not be shared; it’s sensible advice for the whole category, because a product that’s been in an anal area doesn’t become bacteria-free just by rinsing it. The age limit is 18 years.
Six mistakes this category punishes more harshly than others
Choosing by the number of modes instead of where the motor sits. Ten modes from a single bullet in the base and ten modes from two separate motors are not the same product. Rocks-Off O Boy has seven modes and a rating of 8.0; Pretty Love Warren has twenty-four and 6.2.
Reading circumference as diameter. Rocks-Off lists 78.5 millimeters for O Boy. It’s the circumference, not the width—and the difference is a factor of three. Two shops also provide two other values for the same measurement.
Trusting the shop’s IPX claim. For Apex Thrusting, three shops give three different answers—IPX7, IPX5, and “100 percent waterproof”—for a product whose manufacturer doesn’t specify any rating class at all. Check the claim with the manufacturer, and assume it’s missing.
Buying a combination product without measuring the ring. Four of the five publish the ring’s inner diameter, from 3.6 to 4.4 centimeters. The fifth publishes none. If the ring doesn’t fit, the entire product is unusable.
Assuming the app is optional. With Lovense Edge 2 and Lelo Hugo 2, half the function is behind your phone—separate motor control and, respectively, six out of ten modes and all strength adjustments. If you want to skip the app, the same two motors are available on Svakom Iker Neo for 504 SEK less than Edge 2.
Assuming any USB cable will work. Of thirteen rechargeable models, exactly one uses a standard USB-C. The rest require a magnetic or product-specific cable, and several manufacturers explicitly exclude the cable from the warranty.
What you get for the 883 SEK difference between the cheapest and the most expensive
The range among the fifteen ranked is 299 to 1,182 SEK—so not quite four times. The link between price and rating is weaker in this category than in any other on the site, and you can show it with four rows.
The winner costs 591 SEK and sits in the middle of the price range. The second costs 319 SEK—the third-lowest price of the fifteen. The most expensive model is eight places higher. The two highest material ratings in the entire review, 9.0 each, belong to products for 319 and 369 SEK.
What the money actually buys is three things. Adjustable geometry—there is a bendable or twistable neck only from 591 SEK and up. Published information—the most complete spec sheets belong to Lelo and Lovense, and it’s a real advantage even if you don’t really feel it in your hand. And two motors, which are available down to 676 SEK at Rebel Cock Ring but then only with a remote control and without any published runtime at all.
What the money doesn’t buy is just as clear. Not better materials: the two best cost 319 and 369 SEK. Not better waterproofing evidence: the 1,182 SEK model has no published rating, while the 549 SEK model has IPX7 in the manufacturer’s own material. Not longer runtime: the longest published one comes from a battery for 319 SEK. And not easier charging: the only model that takes a standard USB-C cable costs 549 SEK, while all models over 900 SEK require their own cable.
1
