Rocks-Off Rude Boy 7-speed — in brief — this is what you get

Rude Boy is the model that made Rocks-Off a name in the prostate category, and it’s still the middle model in the manufacturer’s so-called boys family. The shape is a closed C-curve in silicone: one end is an angled head that is inserted and placed against the prostate, and the other end is a broad outer base that rests against the perineum. A removable bullet vibrator sits in the base, and it’s that which drives the entire construction.

The manufacturer’s specification looks like this: the product dimensions are 115 × 120 × 40 millimeters, the weight is 180 grams, the material is silicone and ABS plastic, the drive is the seven-speed RO-80mm bullet that Rocks-Off uses throughout the entire range, the battery is N-size and included, and the product is listed as 100 percent waterproof. The manufacturer’s item number is 7RBKV-FB022. In Sweden, the item is sold by six shops at prices between 312 and 399 SEK, and five of them had it in stock during the price check on September 12, 2026.

This review is exclusively about the black variant with EAN 811041011586. The number is confirmed in two independent ways: Mshop states it in its specification table, and Sexonic states the same number in the gtin13 field in the product page’s source code. The manufacturer’s own product page, of course, publishes a gtin field, but in numeric format 8.11E+11 — a number that starts with 811, so it is consistent with the number, but not in itself sufficient evidence. It’s worth checking the number when you compare prices, since Rocks-Off sells five closely related prostate massagers with the same material and the same bullet, and the shop feeds mix them up.

What the “hands-free” design actually means

The manufacturer describes Rude Boy as a hands-free product with dual-acting stimulation of the prostate and perineum, and the wording is more technical than it sounds. A prostate massager without an outer arm must be held in place or pushed manually. Rude Boy’s arched shape instead means that the outer base supports the product against the body when you’re sitting, lying down, or standing, while the inner part is kept in position by the arch’s own tension.

In practice, that means two things. First, that the vibration reaches two points at the same time without anything needing to be held in place— the bullet vibrator sits in the outer base, i.e. directly against the perineum, while simultaneously transferring movement through the silicone up to the inner head. Second, that the design depends on whether the arch’s angle matches your anatomy. An arched prostate massager isn’t adjustable; it either fits correctly or it doesn’t. What can be established is that Rocks-Off sells five different arches with different measurements and angles within the same family, which is a reasonable indication that the manufacturer themselves considers fit to be the deciding factor.

The wide base also serves a safety function. It sits on the outside of the body and functions as a stop, which is the basic design requirement that every anal product must meet. According to the manufacturer’s own product images, the underside of the base is flat, which means the product can rest against a surface when it’s in place.

Naughty Boy, Rude Boy, Bad Boy, or Big Boy — which is which?

Rocks-Off names its prostate massagers by size rather than generation, and since all parts use the same material, the same battery, and the same bullet, it’s only the measurements and shape that differ. The manufacturer publishes a product measurement for each one, making the family above unusually easy to compare:

• O-Boy — 100 × 98 × 33 millimeters, 92 grams. The manufacturer’s narrowest and lightest hands-free model, described as intended for first-time users.
• Naughty Boy — 97 × 115 × 36 millimeters, 114 grams. The shortest of the actual arches, with an angled head and a beginner-oriented focus.
• Rude Boy — 115 × 120 × 40 millimeters, 180 grams. The model this text is about, and what the manufacturer themselves calls the mid-size.
• Bad Boy — 120 × 122 × 38 millimeters, 184 grams. The manufacturer describes it as Rude Boy with increased circumference and added contours.
• Big Boy — 120 × 123 × 40 millimeters, 222 grams. The family’s largest, and 42 grams heavier than Rude Boy.

There’s one detail worth paying attention to, because it contradicts how the models are usually described in the store. Vuxen states that Naughty Boy is the slimmer one and Bad Boy the rougher one, and that matches the manufacturer’s own wording. But the manufacturer’s own measurements show that Bad Boy is listed as 38 millimeters in its third dimension compared with Rude Boys’ 40 millimeters, so not rougher in that dimension, while Bad Boy is five millimeters longer and two millimeters wider. According to the manufacturer’s description, the difference lies in the contours rather than in an unambiguously larger overall circumference. So someone who chooses based on numbers alone gets a less dramatic difference than the marketing implies.

Material and build quality: platinum-hardened silicone and ABS

The material issue is the only characteristic of an anal product that can’t be compensated for with experience or care, and it determines whether the product is still hygienic after five years. Rocks-Off lists two materials for Rude Boy: silicone and ABS plastic. The silicone makes up the entire molded arched frame, meaning everything that touches the body, while the ABS plastic sits in the casing of the bullet vibrator.

What platinum-hardened silicone means in practice

The manufacturer is unusually specific on this point. Rocks-Off states that the silicone is platinum-hardened and describes it as the purest silicone, of the same type used in the medical and food industries, because it doesn’t produce toxic byproducts unlike peroxide- and tin-hardened silicone. It’s a material specification at a higher level of detail than what this product category normally publishes, where "body-safe silicone" is the usual claim and the curing method is almost never mentioned.

Why it matters: the curing method determines which residual products remain in the polymer. Platinum curing uses a platinum catalyst and, in practice, leaves no byproducts, while peroxide curing produces residual products that must be baked out and that can cause odor or residue on the surface over time. For a product that’s supposed to sit against mucous membranes during repeated uses, the difference is between a surface that stays the same and a surface that slowly changes.

Just as important is that the silicone is non-porous. A non-porous surface can be cleaned, because there are no microscopic cavities where residues can remain. It’s the single most important property of a material that’s introduced into the body, and that’s why the material declaration weighs more heavily than almost every other line in a specification. The ABS plastic in the bullet’s casing, in turn, is chemically inert according to the manufacturer, which means it doesn’t react with lubricants—however, it sits inside the silicone and normally doesn’t come into contact with the body at all.

Phthalates, TPE, and latex — why the material declaration is important

Phthalates are a group of softeners used to make plastic, especially flexible PVC, pliable. The Swedish Chemicals Agency describes them as substances that can affect the hormone system and make reproduction more difficult, and several of them are therefore restricted or banned within the EU in a large number of products. This category is a recurring subject of supervision, because it contains soft plastic against the mucous membrane.

Rocks-Off takes a tougher stance than most. The manufacturer explicitly states zero tolerance for phthalates, and additionally adds TPE and thermoplastic elastomers in the same sentence—so not just the softeners, but the entire material class in which they are usually found. That is a relevant tightening up, because “TPE” and “jelly rubber” are terms that say nothing at all about which softeners are included. Vuxen repeats the same point in its own product data, where the product is labeled as body-safe and free from phthalates.

The latex issue is addressed separately. Rocks-Off states that latex is not used in any of its products, and justifies that both by saying that latex is a common allergen and that it is porous, and therefore less hygienic. Latex allergy causes reactions on the mucous membrane faster than on normal skin, and an anal product is therefore exactly the use where the information matters.

Dimensions and weight: 115 × 120 × 40 mm—and three shops that say three different things

The manufacturer’s measurements are 115 × 120 × 40 millimeters, and the weight is 180 grams. Those three figures are an enclosing box, not a length in the direction of use: 115 millimeters is one dimension of the frame, 120 millimeters the other, and 40 millimeters is the product’s thickness at the thickest point. A C-shaped product has no single “length,” and that is the reason the shops can’t agree.

And they really can’t. Three shops state three different lengths for the same item number. Vuxen gives total length as 12 centimeters. Joyland gives 12.5 centimeters. Mshop gives 13.4 centimeters. None of them matches exactly the manufacturer’s 115 or 120 millimeters, and the 14-millimeter spread between the extremes is larger than what a rounding error could explain. The manufacturer’s specification applies; the shop figures should be read as different ways of measuring the same frame.

On the diameter, however, the shops agree. Vuxen, Joyland, and Mshop all state 3 centimeters, and Mshop also specifies that the insertable diameter is the same 3 centimeters. That figure is consistent with the manufacturer’s 40 millimeters, because 40 millimeters is the product’s greatest thickness, including the outer base, while 3 centimeters refers to the shaft itself. That is the figure that actually matters for the person choosing a size.

A store description should, however, be treated with caution. Blush Me and SexleksakerOutlet publish the same translated product text, where it says that the product is three and a half inches at its widest point and has a retractable length of six and a quarter inches. Six and a quarter inches is almost 160 millimeter, so it’s longer than the product’s largest overall dimensions according to the manufacturer. The retractable length of 6¼ inches cannot be reconciled with the manufacturer’s specification, and three and a half inches is reasonably a circumference that in the translation has been turned into a width—3½ inches in circumference corresponds to just over 28 millimeter in diameter, which is close to the 3 centimeters the other three stores state. Read that text as a mistranslation, not as a measurement.

The packaging information comes from only one store. Mshop lists the packaging dimensions as 21.0 × 14.5 × 5.5 centimeters and a packaging weight of 0.31 kilogram. The difference versus the manufacturer’s 180 grams is therefore 130 grams of cardboard, blister, and battery—a reminder that shipping weight and product weight are two different figures, and that it’s the product weight that indicates something about how the product behaves when in use.

Seven modes, one button, and a removable bullet

The interface on Rude Boy consists of exactly one button, and it isn’t on the product itself but at the end of the bullet vibrator. Vuxen describes the control as a built-in push button, and the manufacturer’s own product images show it as a small rubber button at the bullet’s rear end, accessible when the bullet sits in the base. You switch between the modes with repeated presses and turn it off with a long press.

That’s the simplest control imaginable, and it’s both the strength and the limitation. There’s no display, no remote control, and no app. At the same time, one single button means there’s nothing to learn, and the control can be found by feel—something that’s relevant because the button is on the back of the body when the product is in place.

How the seven modes are distributed: three speeds and four patterns

The number seven shows up in every source, but only two of them break it down. Blush Me and SexleksakerOutlet state that the seven settings consist of three constant speeds and four vibration patterns. The manufacturer itself only states that the bullet is a seven-speed RO-80mm, without specifying the breakdown.

In practice, this means you have three levels of even vibration and four pulsating programs. It’s another matter than seven intensity steps, and the difference is worth knowing before you buy: if you want to fine-tune the strength, you have three steps to choose from, not seven. Compared with a modern rechargeable prostate vibrator, there are few steps—Lelo states ten settings for the Hugo 2, of which four are built in and six are available via the app—but if you compare with the rest of Rocks-Off’s own range, it’s seven that are offered across the entire boys family, since all five models use the same bullet.

What can be stated purely from a construction standpoint is that the vibration source sits in the outer base, not in the inner head. The vibration against the prostate is therefore transferred through the silicone rather than generated on the spot. That is the principal difference versus models that have the motor in the insert part, and it’s a trade-off: the transfer dampens the vibration on the way, but at the same time it provides a direct and undamped vibration to the perineum, which is the whole point of the construction.

RO-80mm: the bullet that is simultaneously its own product

The bullet vibrator is removable, and that’s the detail in this product that has the most consequences. The manufacturer sells the same bullet separately as RO-80 7-Speed Special Edition, and publishes its specifications: 15 × 82 × 15 millimeters, 24 grams, silicone and ABS plastic, battery in N size, and a waterproof construction.

That leads to three practical consequences. The first is hygienic: because the bullet can be taken out, the silicone cavity in the base can be rinsed through separately, instead of a fixed motor making the cavity inaccessible. The second is in terms of repairability: if the vibrator stops working, it’s the bullet that’s broken, not the silicone ring, and the bullet can be replaced as a separate item. The third is that the bullet works independently, meaning that in practice you get two products in one package.

The downside of the same construction is that there’s a seam. The transition between the bullet and the silicone cavity is a joint where water and lubricant can end up sitting, and it has to be dried out. A one-piece product without an opening doesn’t have that problem—but it also can’t be repaired.

Travel protection: why the button has to be held in for 3–4 seconds

A note in the manufacturer’s service instructions explains something that otherwise reads like a fault. Rocks-Off states that the power button must be held down for three to four seconds for the product to start, and that this is due to a built-in travel lock. The function exists so the product doesn’t start on its own in a bag.

The same page also brings up two more points that rarely appear in store texts. Before first use, the insulator between the battery and the contacts must be removed—a small plastic tab that otherwise makes the product seem dead in the packaging. And the manufacturer explicitly advises against rechargeable batteries in its products, reasoning that they lack sufficient voltage for full power. It’s a specific and verifiable instruction, and it’s relevant for anyone who reflexively buys rechargeable cells instead of disposable batteries.

Sound level: what Rocks-Off says and what they don’t say

Here the answer has to be short and honest. Rocks-Off does not publish any measured decibel value for the Rude Boy, either on the product page or in the care instructions, and none of the six Swedish stores provides any number either. Joyland describes the vibration strength as strong, which is a strength statement and not a sound level, and that’s as close as this product’s documentation gets to an actual message.

What can, however, be established is the design premise. The vibration is generated by an eccentric motor inside a hard ABS casing, which in turn sits in a cavity in the silicone. Such a construction dampens some of the sound through the silicone, but the cavity also acts as a small resonance chamber. Figures for the sound level for this model that appear on other sites are not covered by the manufacturer, and anyone who places importance on being quiet should treat the question as unanswered rather than as answered in any particular direction.

A practical tip that applies regardless of model: place the product on a soft surface between uses. A hard tabletop works as a resonance box and noticeably amplifies the sound.

Water resistance: IPX7 according to the manufacturer—and a store that contradicts it

The manufacturer’s product page lists the Rude Boy as 100 percent waterproof, and the manufacturer’s care page goes further and prints the classification: all Rocks Off products are stated to be 100 percent IPX7 waterproof and submersible for play in the bath. Three of the six Swedish stores repeat the claim. Vuxen lists water resistance: yes, Joyland lists water resistance: yes, and Blush Me and SexleksakerOutlet write that the product is 100 percent waterproof and fully submersible.

Mshop says otherwise. In its product text, the shop writes that the product is splash-proof but not waterproof, that it should not be fully submerged in water, and that it should not be used in the bathtub, and in the specification table it states that water resistance is given as splash-proof. This is a discrepancy in the opposite direction compared with the manufacturer and with four other shops. The manufacturer’s instructions apply, but the discrepancy is worth reporting — among other things because a buyer who reads that exact page may think the product is worse than it is, and because shop texts that deviate like this are often written generically rather than being specific to the product.

What IPX7 means according to IEC 60529

The rating comes from the international standard IEC 60529, which defines enclosure classes for electrical equipment. The number 7 in the second position means that the product is tested for submersion in water to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. The letter X in the first position means that no dust protection has been tested, not that the protection is missing.

The difference from a splash-proof product is greater than the wording suggests. Splash protection covers water droplets and, at best, water jets, but not submersion. Such a product can handle a damp cloth and possibly a shower, but not a bathtub. With IPX7, the entire product can be rinsed off without extra care, and that is a genuine advantage for an anal product specifically, where careful cleaning after each use isn’t a preference but a requirement. If a product lacks an IPX rating entirely, it should be treated as not waterproof — the absence of a rating is never a sign that the product would be approved.

Cleaning, lubricant, and storage

The manufacturer’s instructions are short and clear. Clean with soap and water or with an antibacterial toy cleaner, and do not use dish soap or alcohol-based products, because they can damage the surface. Remove the bullet and rinse the cavity separately — that’s the only part where water and residue can remain standing. Dry thoroughly and let it air-dry before putting the product away.

On the lubricant question, the manufacturer is categorical: only water-based lubricant should be used with Rocks-Off products. Joyland repeats the same recommendation in its specification table. Silicone-based lubricant should not be used on silicone products — it breaks down the silicone surface over time and makes it porous, and a porous surface can no longer be cleaned properly, only replaced. Oil-based products such as coconut oil leave behind a film that’s hard to remove. For an anal product, lubricant also isn’t optional, because the area does not produce its own moisture.

A storage instruction in the manufacturer’s material deserves its own section, because it rarely appears anywhere else. Rocks-Off writes that their products should be stored separately from other brands, with the justification that lower-quality toys in jelly material can damage premium silicone on contact. It’s a concrete and practical message: don’t put this in the same drawer as a soft jelly product. Mshop adds an instruction that comes from battery operation—remove the battery when the product is not in use, to avoid leakage.

Battery: an LR1 instead of a built-in lithium-ion battery

This is where the single biggest difference is, compared with almost everything else in the price range. Rude Boy has no built-in rechargeable battery. The manufacturer lists the battery as N size and writes that a battery is included. Three Swedish stores specify the designation: Mshop states a power output of 1 × LR1 (N) with battery included and lists the delivery contents as the prostate massager plus an LR1 (N) battery; Joyland lists the battery type as LR1 (N) in one unit that comes with it; and Vuxen lists N battery as included.

How is the Rocks-Off Rude Boy charged? The answer is that it isn’t charged

There is no charging cable, no charging port, and no charging time, because the product is powered by a replaceable disposable battery. LR1 is an alkaline cell in N size, meaning a format that’s smaller than AAA and significantly less common in retail.

It’s a trade-off with clear pros and cons on both sides. The advantages are real: the product never dies from a worn-out cell, because the cell is replaced—which is the most common service-life limitation on rechargeable intimate products, where a fixed-in lithium-ion battery makes the entire product unusable when it loses capacity. There’s no proprietary charging cable to misplace, and no opening in the casing for charging, which makes IPX7 easier to achieve structurally. The product can also be taken with you without a charger.

The disadvantages are just as real. LR1 isn’t sold in every grocery store, and someone who runs out of battery in the middle of the week may need to place an order for new ones. Running costs are ongoing instead of zero. And the manufacturer advises against rechargeable cells, citing insufficient voltage, which in practice shuts the door on solving the disposable-battery question with rechargeable batteries. Expect to buy a multi-pack of LR1 at the same time as the product—that’s the only preparation that’s really required.

The operating time that isn’t published

Rocks-Off does not publish any operating time for the Rude Boy, either in hours or in number of uses per battery, and none of the six Swedish stores indicates any value either. It’s therefore not possible to say how long an LR1 lasts in this product, and any figure that circulates somewhere else is not supported by the manufacturer.

There is a real gap in the specifications, and it’s worth noting exactly this because competitors publish their corresponding figures. Lelo states for the Hugo 2 a lithium-ion battery of 420 mAh and 3.7 volts, a runtime of up to one hour, and a charging time of up to two hours at 5.0 volts and 500 milliamps. Without a corresponding statement from Rocks-Off, it isn’t possible to convert the runtime to power consumption, and it isn’t possible to compare how many hours of use a battery corresponds to between the models.

Rude Boy compared with the alternatives

Three comparisons are relevant: against the smaller model in the same family, against the larger ones in the same family, and against a rechargeable prostate vibrator from another premium brand. All the information below comes from the respective manufacturers’ own specifications, and all prices are from the shops’ product feeds on September 12, 2026.

Against Rocks-Off Naughty Boy — 18 millimeters shorter arch

Naughty Boy is given by the manufacturer as 97 × 115 × 36 millimeters and 114 grams, versus Rude Boy’s 115 × 120 × 40 millimeters and 180 grams. So it is 18 millimeters shorter in the first dimension, 5 millimeters narrower in the second, 4 millimeters thinner, and 66 grams lighter — a third of the weight.

Everything else is identical. Same silicone and ABS, same N-size battery, same seven-speed RO-80mm bullet, same hands-free principle. The manufacturer describes Naughty Boy as the beginner model with an angled head, and Vuxen repeats the same role distribution: if you’re looking for something narrower, Naughty Boy is the way to go.

The conclusion is straightforward. The difference between the models is purely geometric. If you can choose based on experience rather than on function, Naughty Boy is the more cautious option, and Rude Boy is the next step — and the one who already knows that a 3-centimeter diameter works has no reason to pay for the smaller one.

Against Rocks-Off Bad Boy and Big Boy — what the four grams conceal

Bad Boy is listed as 120 × 122 × 38 millimeters and 184 grams. That means it is four grams heavier than Rude Boy, five millimeters longer, two millimeters wider — and two millimeters tunnare in the third dimension. The manufacturer describes Bad Boy as Rude Boy with increased circumference and added contours, intended for experienced users, and it’s the contours rather than an unambiguously larger measure that’s the difference.

Big Boy is the clearer step up: 120 × 123 × 40 millimeters and 222 grams, i.e., 42 grams heavier than Rude Boy and the family’s largest hands-free model according to the manufacturer. Here too, the materials, battery, and bullet are the same.

What can be established is that the whole family shares the same drive and materials, and that the choice therefore comes down to fit and nothing else. That makes Rocks-Off’s range unusually easy to navigate: you don’t pay for more functions when you go up in size—you pay for a different geometry. Rude Boy’s position as the mid model is, in that sense, the least risky guess if you don’t already know what fits.

Against Lelo Hugo 2 — rechargeable, app control, and ten settings, but one hour of runtime

The most interesting comparison goes beyond the brand. Lelo Hugo 2 is an arched prostate vibrator with the same basic idea—inward head toward the prostate, outer arm toward the perineum—but built on modern rechargeable technology. Lelo lists the dimensions as 104 × 107 × 41 millimeters, an insertable length of 72 millimeters, and a weight of 121 grams—so it’s a smaller and nearly 60 grams lighter product than Rude Boy.

The material is the same in practice: body-friendly silicone and ABS plastic. The products differ hardly at all there. The difference lies in the drive and control. Hugo 2 has a lithium-ion battery of 420 mAh and 3.7 volts, charges in up to two hours at 5.0 volts and 500 milliampere, and provides up to one hour of runtime. It has ten settings, four built-in and six available via the app, and according to Lelo it’s 100 percent waterproof. The warranty is two years, followed by a ten-year quality guarantee.

Put the two against each other and the picture becomes clear. Hugo 2 offers more settings, app control, and no disposable batteries—but it also only gives one hour of runtime per charge, and a battery that can’t be replaced once it’s out. Rude Boy has three speeds, four patterns, and a single button—but it has a cell you replace once and for all, and a bullet that’s a replaceable spare part. One is the more advanced product; the other is the more repairable. Price-wise, they’re not in the same class: Rude Boy costs from 369 SEK at the stores that had it in stock, and Lelo sells the Hugo 2 in a completely different price segment.

Price range: 312 to 399 SEK at six stores

Six Swedish stores sell the item with EAN 811041011586. The cheapest is Sexonic at 312 SEK, and the most expensive are Vuxen and Mshop at 399 SEK each. That’s a difference of 87 SEK, or 28 percent, for the exact same item number, the same color, and the same packaging.

However, the stock situation changes the math. Sexonic, which is the cheapest, did not have the product in stock at the price check, while five of the six stores did. The cheapest of the ones available was Blush Me and SexleksakerOutlet at 369 SEK each, followed by Joyland at 395 and Vuxen and Mshop at 399. So the difference you can actually buy is 30 SEK, or 8 percent—not 87 SEK. Stores that list a product as sold out may keep an old price in the feed, and that price is rarely what you end up paying when the item is back in stock.

Two stores also publish comparison prices that are worth noting. Vuxen states a recommended price of 499 SEK, Joyland a comparison price of 649 SEK, and both Blush Me and SexleksakerOutlet list 495 SEK as the regular price. The manufacturer itself sells the product for 29.99 pounds in its own British store. The variation in the comparison prices is therefore greater than the variation in the actual prices, which is a common pattern in this category and a reason to evaluate offers based on the final price instead of the discount percentage.

Price variation does not depend on any store selling another variant. Mshop and Sexonic both state EAN 811041011586 in their own product data, and the four other ones list the item under their own article numbers linked to the same black Rude Boy 7-speed. The prices in the table above are updated when the stores’ product feeds are updated, but always check the final price at checkout—at this price level, all stores are far below the threshold for free shipping, so the shipping cost can be decisive for which store is actually the cheapest.

Who is Rocks-Off Rude Boy for—and who is it not for?

It’s for you if you want a hands-free prostate massager in a medium size without having to worry about charging. It’s for you if you value that a broken vibrator can be repaired by replacing the bullet rather than throwing away the entire product. It’s for you who wants platinum-hardened silicone against the body, a detachable motor part that makes the hollow area cleanable, and a product that, according to the manufacturer, tolerates full submersion. And it’s for you if you want all of that for under four hundred kronor.

It’s not for you if you want many intensity levels—three constant speeds isn’t much. It’s not for you if you want remote control or an app; neither is available, and if you want that, you’ll have to go to another manufacturer—Lelo Hugo 2 is the closest alternative with the same curved shape. It’s not for you if you refuse to keep disposable batteries at home, especially not in a format like LR1, and not for you who wants to be able to charge via USB like almost everything else in this price range. And it’s not for you if you require a published runtime and a measured sound level before buying, because Rocks-Off publishes neither for this model.

One more thing belongs in the decision. What determines whether a bow-shaped prostate massager works is not the number of settings, but whether the angle fits you, and that’s something no specification can answer. Rocks-Off sells five bows with different measurements in the same family for exactly that reason.
