For a product without electronics, a defect is equivalent to a manufacturing defect: a rough seam in the metal, a base that comes loose from the tail, or a surface coating that flakes off. Such issues are eligible for a complaint, and that assessment is independent of whether the manufacturer offers any warranty.

For distance purchases, you also have a right of withdrawal for fourteen days under the Act on Distance Contracts and Contracts Outside Business Premises. Be aware that in practice the right of withdrawal is limited for hygiene products that have been removed from a sealed package—and just this product is delivered in a cardboard box with a transparent window, meaning it is not delivered in a seal that is obviously broken.
