So the difference between Serpent and Snake is therefore half a centimeter in diameter, not the length — even though the names suggest different product sizes. It’s worth checking the EAN number before you buy, since several Swedish stores sell both 45-centimeter models under almost identical headings. Five Swedish stores list Anal Snake 45 cm, and the cheapest of them is priced at 212 SEK — exactly the same price as the cheapest Serpent.

So that is the number that applies. Three of the Swedish stores state something else, and they furthermore do not state the same thing. Vuxen and Blush Me both write a maximum diameter of 3 centimeters. Joyland states 4 centimeters. Vuxenkul, Lekosmek, and Taboo stick to the manufacturer’s 3.5.

The variation isn’t academic. The difference between 3 and 4 centimeters in diameter is a difference of roughly 78 percent in cross-sectional area, and it’s the area — not the diameter — that determines how much the tissue needs to be stretched. That’s a real advantage of this particular product. Water-based lubricants dry out and need to be reapplied, and on a toy that’s supposed to pass 40 centimeters, it isn’t a matter of convenience—it’s a prerequisite for it to work at all. Silicone-based lubricant stays smooth for significantly longer. On Swedish pages, we’ve seen it from 268.49 SEK—so actually more expensive than the 45-centimeter variant at the cheapest shop.

That makes the choice between them unusually easy in Sweden: the 45-centimeter version is cheaper at several shops even though it is 10 centimeters longer and costs 6 euros more in the suggested retail price. If you’re unsure how much length you want, there’s no price argument for choosing the shorter one. There is, however, a practical argument—an 35-centimeter-long product is easier to store, easier to handle, and takes up less space in a cabinet.

What’s right depends entirely on what you want to use the depth for. If you already have an anal toy in the shorter category, the whole point of this product is the extra 10 centimeters. The material is explicitly stated as phthalate-free PVC, the base is a suction cup that adheres to most flat surfaces, and the product is stated to work with both silicone- and water-based lubricants. The suggested retail price is 58.12 dollars.

The difference in the data is the whole point of the comparison. XR Brands publishes overall length and insertable length separately, a phthalate declaration, and an explicit lubricant usage statement. Hidden Desire publishes neither. Purely on specifications, the American product is better documented, and it is also one centimeter narrower, making it more accessible.

What Hidden Desire has going for it is price and availability. The suggested retail price of 35.99 euros versus 58.12 dollars is, in itself, a difference, and eight Swedish shops sell Serpent with Swedish shipping and Swedish right of withdrawal, while the XR Brands product must be ordered via specialized retailers. If you want a half-centimeter thicker shaft, a more pronounced spiral pattern, and a price from 212 SEK, then Hidden Desire is the choice. If you want a manufacturer that prints what the material contains, then this isn’t it.

Price range: 212 to 399 SEK at eight shops

Eight Swedish shops sell the item with EAN 8713221835727. Cheapest is Joyland at 212 SEK; most expensive are Lekosmek and Taboo at 399 SEK each. That’s a difference of 187 SEK or 88 percent for exactly the same article number, the same color, and the same polybag.

Seven out of eight shops had the product in stock at the price check. The only one missing was Sexonic at 322.21 SEK, so not the cheapest—which is unusual and means that, for once, the stock situation doesn’t affect the price you can actually buy at.

What it says there instead is a set of deadlines: visible defects must be reported in writing or by phone no later than 48 hours after delivery, hidden defects must be reported within two months from when they were discovered, and if a complaint is approved, the manufacturer’s responsibility is limited to replacing the item.
