So the difference between the three is purely cosmetic plus seven grams. It’s unusual to be able to state it with that level of precision, but since the manufacturer publishes the product weight for all three, it’s possible to calculate: Drip is the heaviest of them, most likely because the drip pattern means the most material on the outside. If they cost different amounts in the store, that’s nothing other than the store’s pricing.

The real trap is somewhere else. Lovetoy also sells a completely different product called Vibrating Drip Knights Ring — item number LV343112, EAN 6970260905787. The decisive difference from silicone is porosity. The product page for LV314112 lists the material TPE and describes it as safe, tear-resistant, and non-toxic, but it contains none of the three standard statements “Waterproof, Latex free, Phthalate free”. This is particularly conspicuous because Lovetoy uses exactly the same wording on other articles in the same series — the almost identical ring LV343112 has it printed in plain text. The manufacturer’s own dimension graphic, which is included in the image galleries of the stores, adds three more measurements. Here the sleeve is drawn with a height of 13.5 centimeters, a width of 6.5 centimeters viewed from one opening, and 5.5 centimeters viewed from the other — so the body isn’t round; it’s oval in cross-section. The mini vibrator is drawn separately with the dimensions 5.6 × 2.5 centimeters, and the channel is stated to be 3 centimeters in diameter with a narrower opening of 1.6 centimeters at the bottom. On a TPE sleeve, it’s the material: over time, the surface becomes stickier, picks up discoloration, and loses some of its elasticity, and a surface that has become sticky can’t be restored. With this product, electronics are added as a second limitation, since a bullet that can’t handle water is built into something that is meant to be cleaned often.

That’s why the practical advice is simple and boring: clean right after use, dry thoroughly, keep water away from the bullet end, and treat the product as a consumable rather than an investment. At 199 SEK, it’s not an unreasonable starting point — it’s exactly how the price tag is set.

Fit: 3 cm inner diameter and 55 percent more in circumference

The increase in circumference is the product’s main argument, and the manufacturer expresses it unusually cautiously: ”a guaranteed boost of at least 55% in girth”. At least 55 percent, meaning — a lower limit, not a ceiling. The functional graphics and the packaging use the same figure in the labeling ”GIRTH THICKER +55%”, and the Swedish stores translate it to ”increases circumference by up to 55 percent”, which reverses the meaning. The manufacturer’s wording is the one that applies.

The number is directly tied to the measurements. The channel is 3 centimeters in diameter, and the sleeve’s outer dimensions are 6.5 and 5.5 centimeters respectively, which means the material is roughly 1.2 to 1.7 centimeters thick depending on where you measure. Adding that amount of material all around gives a significant increase in circumference, and 55 percent is, order-of-magnitude-wise, reasonable based on the published measurements.

The fit question is the other side of the same coin. A three-centimeter inner diameter in a stretchable material fits a wide range, but the one that sits far below the measurement gets a sleeve that fits loosely, and the one that sits far above gets difficult to get on. Three differences matter. The material is the first: silicone is non-porous and can be cleaned in a way that TPE can’t, which is the most long-term difference between the two. Waterproofing is the second: Toy Joy’s sleeve has no electronics at all and can be rinsed however you like, while Lovetoy expressly warns against submersion. Vibration is the third, and there the advantage goes the other way—Toy Joy’s sleeve doesn’t vibrate.

So the choice isn’t “cheap vs. expensive.” It’s vibration vs. material. That means that what you have to rely on is Swedish legislation, and it lasts longer than many people think.

According to the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen), you have three years of right to complain about defects in the goods, regardless of whether the manufacturer promises anything or not. The right to complain applies to original defects — that the vibrator never worked, that the item was cracked on delivery, or that the product did not match the description. It does not cover normal wear and tear, and for a TPE product the line between wear and tear and a defect is crucial in practice: a surface that becomes sticky after half a year of use is wear and tear, while a sleeve that cracks the first time it stretches is a defect.
