We-Vibe Sync O in brief — here’s what you get

We-Vibe Sync O is a couple’s vibrator worn during intercourse. It has an inner arm that is inserted vaginally and an outer part that rests against the clitoris, and the point of the entire design is that both partners should feel the vibrations at the same time without anyone needing to hold the product. What sets this particular model apart from We-Vibe’s other couple’s vibrators is the shape: the inner arm is a closed loop instead of a single protruding tongue.

The specifications look like this. The manufacturer states the dimensions as 80 × 44 × 44.5 millimeters, operating time 150 minutes, charging time 90 minutes, a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery, body-friendly silicone free from phthalates and BPA, and made without latex, an IPX7 enclosure rating, and a two-year warranty. The online manual lists ten vibration patterns that you scroll through with a single button, and a remote control that is already paired when you open the box. In Sweden, the item is sold by four stores at prices between 1 395 and 1 999 SEK, and three of them had it in stock during the price check on September 12, 2026.

This review is exclusively about the green variant with EAN 4251460622912, which the manufacturer calls Green Velvet and which has item number SNSY6SG8. The number is verified in the variant table on We-Vibe’s own product page, it is printed on the barcode of the packaging, and it is confirmed by both Mshop and Sexonic. The model also comes in Light Purple, which has its own EAN — 4251460622905 — and it’s worth keeping track of this, because Swedish stores refer to the same green variant in four different ways: Joyland writes “grön”, Mshop “Petrol Green”, Sexonic “Green”, and Lustly “Velvet Green”. Functionally, the colors are identical.

What the O-shape does that the C-shape doesn’t

The category of portable couple’s vibrators is dominated by the C-shape: two arms attached at one end and open at the other, roughly like a clothes peg without a spring. That construction has existed since We-Vibe introduced it, and it works by the arms lightly clamping the tissue. The downside is well known and shows up in almost every thread about the category: the product can slide out of position during penetration, because it is only held in place by its own tension.

Sync O solves it in another way. The manufacturer describes the inner arm as a unique O-shaped loop that keeps the toy exactly in place, and that is folded together during insertion and then unfolds inside. What can be established purely mechanically is that a closed loop is anchored by its own circumference instead of by clamping force. The difference is fundamental: a C-shape must clamp in order to stay put, an O-shape does not need to clamp at all. The manufacturer also highlights that the loop leaves an opening in the middle—this is what makes the shape not take up space in the same way as a solid insertion part.

In practice, this means two things. The first is that, according to the manufacturer, the product can be worn hands-free even during solo use, not just during intercourse. The second is that the fit is adjustable: We-Vibe states that Sync O can be bent to be adapted to the body, but the manual also points out that the bending should be done carefully so as not to damage the product. It’s a trade-off worth knowing before you get into it—an adjustable silicone body with electronics inside can’t handle unlimited deformation.

Sync O, Sync 2, or Chorus — which one is which on We-Vibe?

We-Vibe sells three couple vibrators that are positioned close together in the range and that are mixed up in store texts. The differences are concrete and are stated in the manufacturer’s own specifications.

• Sync O — the model this text is about. O-shaped inner arm, ten vibration patterns, 150 minutes of operating time, 90 minutes of charging time, 80 × 44 × 44.5 millimeters. List price 169 euro from the manufacturer.
• Sync 2 — the classic C-shape. The manufacturer states ten intensity levels, 120 minutes of operating time, up to 90 minutes of charging time, and the dimensions 41.7 × 74.8 millimeters. List price 159 euro.
• Chorus — the most expensive model, with a remote control that responds to how hard you squeeze, and with touch-sensitive sensors in the toy itself. The manufacturer states 90 minutes of operating time, 120 minutes of charging time, and the dimensions 78 × 33 × 44 millimeters, as well as the material ABS och body-friendly silicone. List price 209 euro.

Note that Sync O has the longest operating time of the three and the shortest charging time together with Sync 2. Chorus, which costs the most, has the shortest operating time and the longest charging time of them—but in return it has an interface that Sync O doesn’t have. That’s not the price ranking you would expect, and it’s a good example of why it pays to read the specification instead of the price tag.

Materials and build quality: silicone on the outside, ABS in the construction

The material question is the only characteristic of an intimate product that can’t be compensated for with experience or care, and it determines whether the product is still hygienic after five years. Here there is also a deviation within the manufacturer’s own materials that’s worth its own line.

What body-friendly silicone means in practice

We-Vibes specification table states a single material for Sync O: body-friendly silicone, free from phthalates and BPA, and manufactured without latex. The packaging’s own material listing, however, says “body-safe silicone, ABS” — meaning silicone and ABS plastic. That wording isn’t dramatically contradictory, and the most common explanation in this category is that the silicone is the only part that comes into contact with the body, while ABS forms the internal chassis, but the manufacturer’s product page should say that. What the Swedish customer should take away is that, according to both sources, the surface is silicone.

Silicone is a non-porous material. A non-porous surface can be cleaned, because there are no microscopic cavities where residue can get trapped. That is the single most important property of a material that is meant to sit against mucous membranes, and that is why the material declaration weighs more than almost all other lines in a specification. For a product like Sync O, where part of it is inserted vaginally and where the whole body is a sealed unit without detachable parts, it isn’t a detail but the very prerequisite for the product to be usable again and again.

A construction without detachable parts also has a downside. There’s nothing to take apart and clean separately, and there’s no part that can be replaced when it wears out. The hinge where the outer part meets the inner arm is the point where lubricants and moisture most easily remain behind, and that point has to be cleaned in place. Retailer Mshop raises the same point in its own care instructions and recommends being extra careful around the flexible loop and at the hinge.

Phthalates, BPA, and latex — why the material declaration matters

Phthalates are a group of plasticizers used to make plastic — above all, soft PVC — flexible. The Swedish Chemicals Agency (Kemikalieinspektionen) describes them as substances that can affect the hormone system and make reproduction more difficult, and several of them are therefore restricted or banned within the EU in a large number of products. This specific product category is a recurring target of supervision because it contains soft plastic that comes into contact with skin and mucous membranes.

We-Vibe expressly states that the material is free from phthalates and BPA and made without latex, and the same promise is printed on the packaging. It’s an unambiguous declaration, unlike terms such as “TPE” or “jelly rubber,” which don’t say anything at all about which plasticizers are included. Silicone doesn’t require phthalate plasticizers to become soft — the softness comes from the polymer’s own structure — and therefore silicone as a material specification is, by itself, better information than almost any other line in a product specification.

The latex task is relevant for anyone who is allergic to latex. Latex allergy causes reactions on the mucous membranes faster than on normal skin, and a product that is worn inside the body during intercourse is exactly the kind of use where the information matters. That the manufacturer lists it both on the product page and on the box is a plus.

Dimensions and weight: 80 × 44 × 44.5 mm — and the missing weight information

We-Vibe lists the dimensions as 80 × 44 × 44.5 millimeters. Mshop lists the same product as 8.00 × 4.40 × 4.40 centimeters, meaning the same numbers aside from a rounding of the height, which is a good checkpoint: store and manufacturer say the same thing. Mshop also publishes two details that the manufacturer completely omits — the length of the inner arm, 7.00 centimeters, and its height, 1.00 centimeter. These are store details and should be read as such, but they are the only numbers available for how much of the product is actually inserted.

The weight question, however, is open. We-Vibe publishes no weight for Sync O — neither on the product page nor in the online manual. The retailer Mshop lists 0.23 kilograms, i.e., 230 grams. That figure appears in the same table as the package’s outer dimensions, 10.30 × 10.30 × 7.00 centimeters, which makes it reasonable to read it as the shipping weight for the entire package with the remote control, charging cable, cotton pouch, and cardboard, rather than as the product’s own weight. The comparison supports that interpretation: Lelo lists 42 grams for its Tiani 3, which is a largely similarly sized product. So assume that Sync O in hand weighs only a fraction of 230 grams, but treat the number as a store-side package detail until the manufacturer publishes a product weight.

The shape is asymmetrical: a wider, rounded outer section where the button, the LED, and the magnetic charging prongs sit, and a narrower loop that extends from the same body. In the manufacturer’s own images, the We-Vibe logo is embossed into the silicone on the outer section, and the underside of the inner arm is ridged. What you can tell from the dimensions is that the product is small: 80 millimeters in length is shorter than a credit card, and that’s the whole idea behind a product that’s meant to be worn.

Ten vibration patterns and a single button

The interface on the toy itself is as simple as it can be. The online manual describes a single control, which We-Vibe calls the We-Vibe button: one press starts the product, and each new press moves on to the next of the ten vibration patterns. There is no separate plus and minus button on the product. All fine-tuning of the intensity happens via the remote control or the app.

It’s a deliberate design choice, and it has a direct consequence: the person who wears the product can start it and switch patterns with a button that can be found in the dark, but they can’t increase or decrease the intensity without taking out the remote control or the phone. If you’re thinking about using Sync O without either a remote control or an app, that’s the limitation you should factor in. If you lose the remote control and don’t want to install the app, you’re left with ten preset patterns and no intensity control.

How many settings does the We-Vibe Sync O actually have?

Here the sources diverge, and the difference isn’t cosmetic. The manufacturer’s online manual states verbatim that the button scrolls between ten different pattern modes — pattern modes. Both Mshop and Joyland describe the same “ten” as something else: Mshop writes “10 intensity levels” and Joyland lists “Vibration modes: 10 different steps”. It’s two different things. One pattern mode is a finished rhythm, while an intensity level is a strength step.

That the stores land on “intensity levels” has a likely explanation: We-Vibe’s own product page for the sibling model Sync 2 has an explicit feature line called “10 Intensity Levels”, and that wording has carried over when the stores have written their text about Sync O. The rule is simple when sources collide: the manufacturer wins. What’s stated is ten vibration patterns on the product’s own button. How many intensity steps the app and remote control offer within each pattern is not published by We-Vibe as a number, either on the product page or in the manual.

Remote control: what it does and which battery it uses

A remote control is included in the package, and the manufacturer states that it’s paired to the toy right from the factory. That’s a real advantage compared to products that require app installation before first use—you can use Sync O directly out of the box without creating an account.

The manual covers a detail that rarely appears in store texts: the remote control comes in two versions—one with a coin cell battery CR2032 and one with a non-rechargeable 4LR44—and the battery is replaced by pulling off the bottom cover. That means the remote control’s battery is a consumable part that you replace yourself—unlike the toy’s, which according to the manual is not replaceable at all. The manual doesn’t state how long the remote control’s battery lasts.

There’s a limitation that’s important to know before you buy. Sync O can only be paired to one remote control or one app-connected device at a time. If you want to switch from a remote control to the app, then according to the manual you first have to reset the toy by holding down the button for five seconds, and if you want to switch back to the remote control, you must first exit the app and redo the pairing. So it’s not a product where two people in the same room can control their own separate path at the same time.

We-Vibe app, pairing, and remote play

App control is the other big selling point for this model, and it works in two modes according to the manufacturer’s manual. In the same room, the toy is paired directly to the phone via Bluetooth. When you’re apart, both parties download the app, the toy is paired to the phone that’s within Bluetooth range, and the other party is invited via the app’s remote play feature.

The range indicates up to 30 feet in clear line of sight and about 20 feet within 360 degrees. Converted, that’s about nine and six meters, respectively. It’s a more honest wording than most manufacturers provide, because it distinguishes between line-of-sight range and through-range — but it’s also shorter than you might expect. For comparison, Lelo states up to 12 meters for its Tiani 3. Practically speaking, that means remote control between different rooms in a house is a borderline case, while control within the same room is unproblematic.

The pairing is described in detail in the manual: hold the button pressed until the product vibrates twice and the LED blinks, and once the pairing is complete, Sync O vibrates three times and the blinking stops. That the feedback is tactile rather than just visual matters for a product that’s often handled without you seeing it.

Sound level: what We-Vibe says and what they don’t say

Sound level is the most common question about portable couple vibrators, and it’s also the hardest value to find. The answer has to be straightforward: We-Vibe does not publish any decibel value for Sync O, either on the product page or in the online manual. The product page’s feature list doesn’t even mention silence as a characteristic, which is worth noting — for the sibling model Sync 2, the manufacturer has an explicit line called “Whisper quiet,” but the corresponding line is missing for Sync O.

None of the four Swedish shops lists any measurement either. Mshop describes the vibration feel as deeper and more rolling than superficial and buzzy, but that’s a description of character, not sound pressure, and it’s a shop statement.

What can be compared is the competitor: Lelo states 50 dB as the maximum sound level and 125 Hz as the frequency for the Tiani 3. That one of two comparable manufacturers publishes a number and the other does not says nothing about how uneven the information is in this category. Websites that list an exact decibel value for the Sync O show either their own measurement or a value without a source from the manufacturer.

A practical tip that applies regardless of model: a portable product that lies against the body makes less noise than the same product lying on a hard surface, because a tabletop works as a resonance box. Place the product on a soft surface between uses.

Water resistance: what IPX7 actually means

We-Vibe Sync O is rated IPX7. The rating comes from the international standard IEC 60529, which defines enclosure classes for electrical equipment. The number 7 in the second position means that the product is tested for submersion in water to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. The manufacturer states the consequence plainly on the product page: Sync O is completely waterproof and can be used in the bath and shower.

A remark about the manufacturer’s own text. The heading in the feature list reads “Waterproof IPX7”, but the body text underneath says “IPX77”. There is no IPX77 enclosure class in IEC 60529 — it’s an editing error that also appears word-for-word on We-Vibe’s page for Sync 2. The relevant class is IPX7.

IPX7 on the toy — but not on the remote control

This is the single most important detail in the entire care section, and it’s only stated in the manual. The water resistance applies to the toy. The remote control must not be submerged in water, but according to the manual it should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap.

That means you can take the product into the bathtub, but the remote control must stay on the edge — and anyone who takes the entire set into the shower risks the part that isn’t covered by any enclosure class. Since the remote control also has a battery that you replace yourself, it’s the most replaceable part in the package, but a water-damaged remote control still costs money and is not something the warranty covers.

Cleaning, lubricant, and storage

The manual’s instructions are brief: rinse Sync O in lukewarm water with a cleaning product intended for intimate products, and dry it with a lint-free cloth. Be careful at the hinge between the outer part and the inner loop, because that’s where moisture and lube become trapped. A cotton bag for storage is included, according to the packing contents list.

The lubricant question has a clear answer from the manufacturer: use a water-based lubricant, and do not use perfumed or alcohol-based lubricants, gels, or massage oils. The manual also expressly states that silicone-based lubricant should not be used on silicone products. Silicone-based lubricant breaks down the silicone surface over time and makes it porous, and a porous surface can no longer be cleaned properly—only replaced. Oil-based products such as coconut oil leave a film that’s difficult to remove. It’s worth noting here that the retailer Lustly, on its own product page, implies that silicone-based lubricant may be usable after testing it on a small area. The manufacturer’s instructions are stricter, and that’s what applies.

The manual also covers three things that rarely appear in store texts. The product and its battery must not be exposed to temperatures above 45 degrees—so boiling water and the dishwasher are out of the question despite IPX7. The product contains magnets, which means it should not be used directly over a pacemaker, and cards with a magnetic stripe should be kept away from it. And Sync O is expressly not designed for anal use; the same warning is printed on the box.

Battery and charging: 240 mAh, 150 minutes and magnetic pins

We-Vibe states the runtime as 150 minutes and the charging time as 90 minutes, and describes the battery as a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery. Two and a half hours of runtime on one and a half hours of charging is a good ratio in the category—better than both Sync 2 and Chorus, which the manufacturer lists as 120 and 90 minutes of runtime, respectively.

How do you charge the We-Vibe Sync O?

Charging happens via magnetic charging pins on the underside of the product, where a USB cable attaches to it. The manual expressly names the pins as “magnetic charging pins,” and Joyland describes the same thing plainly: the product charges via the included magnetic USB cable. The packing list states that a USB charging cable is included but that a power adapter is not—so you charge from a USB port or an adapter you already have.

Magnetic charging is a trade-off, not a pure advantage. The advantage is that no opening in the housing is needed, which makes it easier to achieve IPX7 without a rubber plug. The downside is that the cable is product-specific: if you lose the charging cable, no normal USB-C cable works, so you have to get a replacement. That’s a real difference compared with products that charge with a standard connector, and it’s worth counting in, since the cable is the part that most often goes missing first.

The LED shows the charging status according to the manual: rapid blinking means the product is charging, steady light means it’s fully charged, and the lamp being off means it lacks power or that the charger isn’t seated correctly on the pins. This last point isn’t trivial—magnetic mounts can look like they’re in place without actually making contact, and a product that hasn’t charged overnight is a common complaint across the entire product type.

What 240 mAh means for battery life

The manufacturer’s specification table does not state a capacity. However, the information is printed on the packaging, where it says that the product contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery at 3.7 volts and 240 mAh. That text can be read in the packaging image Joyland publishes. That makes Sync O one of the few products in the category where the capacity is actually documented—Lelo lists 70 mAh and 3.7 volts for Tiani 3, i.e., a significantly smaller cell, even though Lelo states roughly the same operating time.

Knowing the capacity does two things. It makes it possible to compare how heavily the cell is loaded between models, and it gives an idea of what happens as the battery ages. What generally applies to lithium-ion batteries also applies here: capacity drops with the number of charge cycles, and the manual states that the battery is not replaceable. The manufacturer itself writes that the product should be charged regularly even when it isn’t being used—just to keep the cell in good condition. With use a couple of times a week, it’s the battery, not the silicone, that sets the limit for battery life—and since it’s built in permanently, the product is practically used up once the cell is depleted.

We-Vibe Sync O compared with the alternatives

Three comparisons are relevant: against We-Vibe’s classic C-shape, against the brand’s most expensive pair vibrator, and against the other premium brand in the category. All the details below come from each manufacturer’s own specifications.

Against We-Vibe Sync 2 — ten euros for a different shape

Sync 2 is the model most people mean when they say “We-Vibe”. The manufacturer lists a price of 159 euros for Sync 2 versus 169 euros for Sync O—ten euros apart, so practically the same price range from the manufacturer. The specifications are close: both are body-friendly silicone without phthalates, BPA, or latex; both are IPX7; both have a two-year warranty; and both charge in up to 90 minutes.

There are three differences. The first is the shape: Sync 2 is C-shaped and stays in place by clamping, while Sync O is O-shaped and is anchored by a closed loop. The second is operating time—Sync O has 150 minutes versus Sync 2’s 120 minutes, so half an hour more. The third is how the manufacturer describes the controls itself: for Sync 2 there’s an explicit row of functions with ten intensity levels, whereas for Sync O the manual instead talks about ten pattern modes.

The conclusion is simple. If you want the proven C-shape and a clearly communicated intensity scale, Sync 2 is still the way to go. If you want a shape that doesn’t need clamping to stay in place, and half an hour longer run time, Sync O is the choice — and the price difference from the manufacturer is small enough that the shape, not your wallet, should decide.

Against We-Vibe Chorus — 40 euros more for a clamping remote

Chorus costs 209 euros according to the manufacturer’s list price, so 40 euros more than Sync O. For your money, you get a remote control that responds to how hard you clamp it and touch-sensitive sensors under the We-Vibe logo on the toy itself. It’s an interface that Sync O doesn’t have and can’t get.

What you’re paying for is battery and materials. For Chorus, the manufacturer states a 90-minute run time versus Sync O’s 150, and a 120-minute charging time versus Sync O’s 90. So the difference isn’t marginal: Chorus runs for about 60 percent of the time and takes one third longer to charge. For materials, the manufacturer lists for Chorus as ABS and body-friendly silicone already on the product side, while for Sync O, the product side is listed as only silicone and only on the box as silicone and ABS.

Chorus is therefore the purchase for anyone who wants the most advanced control and accepts a shorter run time. Sync O is the purchase for anyone who wants the longest run time and the new shape, and who can manage with a remote control of the standard type.

Against Lelo Tiani 3 — the one that publishes more data

Lelo Tiani 3 is the closest competitor outside We-Vibe. The dimensions are 78 × 44.5 × 32 millimeters versus Sync O’s 80 × 44 × 44.5 — so it’s basically the same length and the same width, but lower. Lelo states the weight at 42 grams, the material as silicone and ABS plastic, a 3.7-volt lithium-ion battery and 70 mAh, charging for two hours at 5.0 volts and 70 milliamps, and a run time of two hours.

What Lelo does better is to publish data. Tiani 3 has a stated maximum noise level of 50 dB, a stated frequency of 125 Hz, a stated weight, a stated standby time of 90 days, and automatic shut-off after 20 minutes — five details that We-Vibe doesn’t publish for Sync O. As for range, Lelo states up to 12 meters versus We-Vibe’s roughly nine meters in clear line of sight.

What Sync O does better is operation and capacity. 150 minutes versus 120, and a battery of 240 mAh versus 70 — a cell that’s more than three times as large. The shape also differs: Tiani 3 is a classic-type C-shape with an insertion depth of 78.2 millimeters, while Sync O has the closed loop. If you choose based on published data, Lelo wins. If you choose based on run time, battery, and the shape staying in place without clamping, Sync O wins.

Price range: SEK 1,395 to SEK 1,999 at four shops

Four Swedish stores sell the item with EAN 4251460622912. The cheapest is Joyland at 1,395 SEK, and the most expensive is Lustly at 1,999 SEK. That is 604 SEK, or a 43 percent difference, for the exact same item number, the same color, and the same packaging.

However, the most important number in the table is not the spread but how closely the top is clustered. Joyland at 1,395 SEK and Mshop at 1,399 SEK differ by four kronor, and both had the item in stock at the price check on September 12, 2026. That means that shipping terms and delivery time, in practice, determine between them—not the price. Three of the four stores had the product in stock; Sexonic at 1,505 SEK did not. Stores that list a product as sold out may keep an old price in the feed, and that price is rarely what you actually pay when the item comes back in again.

The price spread isn’t because any store sells a different variant. Mshop and Sexonic both list the item under EAN 4251460622912, and the number is also printed on the package’s barcode. So it’s about the stores’ own margin setting—and it’s exactly that situation where it pays off most to compare before you pay. The prices in the table above are updated when the stores’ product feeds are updated, but always check the final price at checkout. Shipping cost is added by most stores under a certain order value.

Where the stores contradict each other—and the manufacturer

Going through all the store pages instead of just the cheapest one turns up deals you don’t see anywhere else, and for this product, they’re unusually clear. Three discrepancies are worth knowing before you read a store text as decision support.

The shape. Lustly describes the Sync O as “a C-shaped G-spot vibrator” and repeats it twice in the same text, including in the bullet list of why they like the product. The manufacturer consistently describes an O-shaped inner arm, and that’s the whole reason the model is called Sync O and not Sync 2. So the store text is wrong on the point that is the model’s very justification for existing—most likely because it’s been reused from a text about a C-shaped sibling model.

The buttons. The same store text talks about “the buttons on the vibrator” in the plural. The manufacturer’s manual describes one button. It sounds like a detail, but it’s exactly that difference that determines whether you can adjust the intensity without a remote control—and the answer is that you can’t.

Modes. Mshop writes “10 intensity levels,” and Joyland “10 different steps.” The manufacturer’s manual writes ten pattern modes. All three say ten, but they mean ten different things. When the store and the manufacturer conflict, the manufacturer applies—and it’s worth remembering if you compare products by the number of modes in a table, because that number rarely measures the same thing for two brands.

A fourth observation belongs here, and it concerns the manufacturer itself. We-Vibe lists a CE declaration of conformity for the Sync O under the model designation SCO2A in its own register of EU declarations. The download link, however, does not provide the document but instead delivers a small placeholder image. The model designation is therefore given, but the declaration itself cannot be read via the published link. There is also no PDF manual for Sync O on the manufacturer’s site with user manuals—only the online manual.

Who is We-Vibe Sync O for—and who isn’t it for?

It fits couples who want a product that is worn during intercourse and stays where you put it. It fits you who have tried a C-shaped couple vibrator and felt that it slipped out of position. It fits you who want to be able to control it remotely, because the app’s remote play feature is one of the model’s main functions according to the manufacturer. And it fits you who want the longest runtime within We-Vibe’s couples range: 150 minutes is more than both Sync 2 and Chorus.

It does not fit you who want to adjust the intensity directly on the product—there’s only one button and ten patterns. It does not fit you who want two people to control it at the same time from their respective devices, because the product only connects to one remote control or one app at a time. It does not fit you who requires published sound level and published product weight before purchase, because We-Vibe publishes neither for this model. And it does not fit you who want to charge using the same cable as your phone: charging happens via magnetic contact pins and a product-specific cable.

One last thing belongs in the decision. Sync O is designed as a shared product, not as a solo product with couple functionality.
