This review is exclusively about the black harness with EAN 4024144523832, meaning the model the manufacturer has named Universal Harness and that stores alternately call Universal Harness with 3 Metal Rings, Universal harness You2toys and Strap On Harness You2Toys. It’s the same item — all five stores list either the barcode or the manufacturer’s article number 521930. But You2Toys has a second harness with an almost identical name and different ring sizes, and that difference is worth understanding before you order. More about that further down.

The first thing that can be established right away is that this is one of the simplest products we’ve gone through, purely technically. No motor, no battery, no electronics, no app, and nothing that can stop charging. That means the assessment instead rests entirely on four things: how widely the harness can be adjusted, how the rings are held in place, what the material is, and how much of it the manufacturer actually reports. The fourth point is what most sets this product apart from the more expensive harnesses in the comparison.

What is an O-ring harness, and why does ring size matter most?

A strap-on harness basically comes in two versions. One type has a dildo sewn or molded in place, and it can’t be rebuilt — you get the toy that comes with it, period. An important limitation: dildos are not included. The manufacturer states that explicitly, Taboo writes it in its specification, and Joyland says it in uppercase in the product text. So the price of 295 SEK is the price of the harness alone, and the total cost for a working set is the price of the harness plus the price of a dildo with a suction or standing base. It’s worth including in the calculation before comparing it to a harness that’s delivered complete.

Universal Harness or Universal harness + 3 Rings — which You2Toys harness is which?

You2Toys sells two harnesses with almost the same name, and they get mixed up regularly in store text and in search results. The difference isn’t cosmetic—it determines which dildos fit.

• Universal Harness — item 05219300000, barcode 4024144523832. This text is about it. Black, three chrome-plated metal rings in Ø 4, 5, and 6 centimeters, maximum waist circumference 155 centimeters and maximum leg strap circumference 48 centimeters. Weight 265 grams. Manufacturer’s recommended price 29,95 euro.
• Universal harness (marketed as Universal Harness + 3 Rings) — item 05132530000, barcode 4024144533626. Purple and black, three rings in Ø 4, 4.5, and 5 centimeters, maximum hip circumference 134 centimeters and leg circumference 82 centimeters. Weight 152 grams. Manufacturer’s recommended price 19,95 euro.

Three things set them apart in practice. The first is the largest ring: 6 centimeters versus 5 centimeters. That centimeter is the difference between being able to mount a thick dildo and not being able to. The second is the waist: 155 centimeters versus 134 centimeters — a difference of twenty-one centimeters in the upper limit. The third is the leg straps, and there the difference goes the other way: 48 centimeters versus 82 centimeters. So the cheaper model has significantly more leg strap to take in, which is the only point where it beats the model we’re going through here.

The material declarations also differ, and the cheaper model actually has the more detailed of the two. For item 05132530000, the manufacturer lists chloroprene rubber in the bands, polyester in the actual harness, nitrile rubber in the rings, and copper- or zinc-plated metal in the rivets. For our item, it only says “PU, metal parts chrome-plated.” This is a striking imbalance: the more expensive product is documented worse than the cheaper one.

Material and build quality: PU, polyester, and chrome-plated metal

The material issue is different on a harness than on a plug-in product. A harness does not sit against the mucous membrane—it sits against the skin on the waist and on the inside of the thighs, often under pressure and often over time. That’s why it’s not primarily about being pore-free, but about three other things: that the surface can withstand sweat and friction without cracking, that the metal doesn’t irritate the skin, and that the material can be cleaned without being damaged.

What PU coating means in practice

The manufacturer states the material as PU—polyurethane—with chrome-plated metal parts. PU is what makes the product look and feel like leather without being it. Technically, faux leather is almost always a textile base with a polymer coating on top, and it’s the coating that gives the surface its character.

ORION describes PU in its own materials education as a synthetic raw material that creates a silky-smooth surface, and as fragrance-free and very skin-friendly. The same text also lists the disadvantages, and they’re more useful than the advantages: strong cleaning agents and massage oil can damage PU, and the coating can be worn away with overly rough cleaning—the manufacturer adds that the abrasion itself is harmless. It’s unusually straightforward for a manufacturer, and it provides a clear care rule: mild soap and water, never solvents, never scrubbing.

That the material is PU and not soft PVC is also relevant for the softening question. Kemikalieinspektionen describes phthalates as a group of plasticizers that are mainly used to make PVC flexible, and several of them are restricted or banned within the EU because they can affect the endocrine system. Polyurethane does not need that type of plasticizer to become flexible—the softness comes from the polymer’s own structure. The authority also points out at the same time that plastic in general contains additives in addition to the polymer itself, and that some of them may be harmful to health or the environment. The manufacturer does not publish a phthalate declaration for this item, so the only thing that can be established is the material type, not the full contents.

Polyester or not—when the store writes more than the manufacturer

Here there is a deviation that is worth reporting. The manufacturer states the material as PU and chrome-plated metal, and nothing more. Two of the Swedish stores list a third component: Taboo writes “polyester, polyuretan, metall” and Lekosmek states that the harness is made of polyester, polyurethane and metal. Joyland and Vuxenkul stick to the manufacturer’s two materials and write “Metal, PU-leather.”

The rule I follow is that the manufacturer wins when the details don’t match up, and that’s why the material line in the specification table further down is based on PU and chrome-plated metal. But the deviation is not unreasonable, and it deserves an explanation rather than being dismissed: the harness’s straps are woven tape, not coated faux leather, and woven tape in this type of product is practically always polyester. The manufacturer’s own material line for the sister model 05132530000 breaks the material down into straps, harness, rings, and rivets and states polyester for the harness. The fact that the same breakdown is missing for this item looks more like a gap in the manufacturer’s data sheet than a contradiction.

Practically speaking, this means nothing for the person who isn’t allergic and everything for the person who is. If you have a known contact allergy to a specific material, this item’s declaration is not enough to determine the question, and in that case it’s a reason to choose a product where the manufacturer breaks the materials down per component.

The chrome-plated rings—and what isn’t stated about them

The rings are the product’s most talked-about detail, and the one that gave the item its most common store name: Universal Harness with 3 Metal Rings. The manufacturer states that the metal parts are chrome-plated and that the rings are interchangeable, and Vuxenkul adds the mechanical detail that the rings are held in place by four loops in the front plate. Four attachment points distribute pulling force better than two, which is relevant specifically for this type of harness because all load from the toy goes through the ring and out into the plate.

Metal instead of rubber in the ring has a concrete consequence: a metal ring keeps its shape under load. A rubber ring — which the sister model 05132530000 uses, where the manufacturer states nitrile rubber — gives way and stretches, which means the toy can tilt downward under pressure, but also that the ring adjusts more forgivingly to a shaft that isn’t completely round. It’s a real trade-off and not a pure win for either side, even if the metal ring is the more stable choice.

What, on the other hand, is not stated anywhere is which metal it is. The manufacturer does not publish any alloy, wire thickness, or any information about nickel release. “Plated metal” only says that the surface layer is chrome, not what’s underneath. In normal use, the ring is not against the skin — it’s mounted in the front plate with the toy going through it — but it can come into contact with skin during putting it on and cleaning. If you have a known nickel allergy, the lack of information is a real shortcoming, and it’s one of the few points where a more expensive harness with explicitly nickel-free metal gives a clear answer that this one does not.

Measurements and weight: 155 centimeters waist, 48 centimeters leg strap — and two different weight figures.

The manufacturer publishes two adjustment measurements and a weight value. The maximum waist circumference is 155 centimeters, the maximum circumference of the adjustable leg strap is 48 centimeters, and the weight is listed as 265 grams in the datasheet. In the same datasheet, the row “Length: 155 cm” is listed, which is the same number as the waist circumference — so, with all likelihood, this is the strap’s extended length and not a separate product measurement. The row “Diameter: 0 cm” in the same table is an empty field rather than an entry.

The weight figure deserves a note. The manufacturer’s datasheet lists 265 grams. Retailer Taboo lists 288 grams. That’s a difference of 23 grams for the same article number and the same barcode. What the difference is due to isn’t explained, but a pattern in the manufacturer’s own data suggests a likely reason: on another harness in the same catalog, King Cock Elite Comfy Body Dock, the product text states 160 grams, while the data box on the same page lists 275 grams. The weight field in the data box therefore appears at times to refer to the packaged item and not the product alone. Assume that the harness in hand weighs around a quarter of a kilo, but treat both numbers as approximate until the manufacturer specifies what was weighed.

What’s missing from the sizing information is at least as interesting as what is included. The manufacturer does not publish any minimum waist measurement, no minimum leg-strap measurement, no width of the straps, and no measurements at all for the front plate. Just the front plate’s size is the piece of information that is missing the most, because it is the surface that lies against the pelvis and determines how the pressure is distributed. For comparison, the manufacturer states for the King Cock Elite Comfy Body Dock that it has a body plate of 13 × 14 × 5 centimeters and a docking recess of Ø 8.6 centimeters. The fact that the same information is missing here is a concrete shortcoming in the reporting, not a detail.

The front plate’s size is also not a theoretical matter. The only published customer review on Vuxen, dated February 25, 2021, addresses exactly this: the buyer writes that the harness sits well and is stable, but that the disadvantage of the large fastening plate is that the feeling is reduced for the person wearing the harness. It’s a single voice and not a measurement, but it is the only published user voice available in any of the five stores, and it points to exactly the characteristic that the manufacturer does not report.

Fit and adjustment: how the harness actually fits

The construction is a so-called jockstrap harness: a wide waistband around the hips and two straps that go down between the legs and then back up, with the front plate where they meet. Unlike a brief model, there is no back seat, which is the whole point of the shape—it leaves the back part free and holds the front plate in place at the same time with pull from four directions.

Joyland describes the construction as having support for the back and being adjustable in the straps both around the waist and between the legs, which matches the manufacturer’s description of adjustable waist and leg straps.

A wide, reinforced section at the back is the detail that separates a harness you can wear for a long time from one that cuts in. The wider the band, the lower the pressure per square centimeter at the same tightening—that’s pure mechanics. Unfortunately, the manufacturer publishes neither the band width nor the padding thickness, so it can be concluded that the section exists, but not how much it does.

Taboo describes the waistband as elastic. That’s a store description and not the manufacturer’s words—the manufacturer only writes "adjustable waist and leg straps". The difference is not academic: an elastic band follows the body during motion and needs to be tightened harder to stay in place, while a non-elastic band locks the position but can feel stiffer. If you want to know for sure which of the two you’ll get, that’s something to ask the store before buying.

Leg straps: 48 centimeters and what it excludes

The maximum circumference of the leg straps is stated as 48 centimeters. It is the number in the specification that sets the product’s actual upper limit, and it has received surprisingly little attention in store copy—none of the five Swedish stores mentions it at all.

The point is this: the 155-centimeter waist circumference makes it sound like the harness will fit almost everyone, but the waist and thigh do not grow at the same rate. A leg strap that at most goes around 48 centimeters at thigh height is noticeably more snugly fitted than the waistband, and the one that sits in the upper part of the waist range is very likely above the leg straps’ limit. By way of comparison, the manufacturer lists 82 centimeters for the cheaper sister model—almost twice as much. If you know you need quite a lot of leg-strap coverage, it’s the only one of the two You2Toys harnesses that provides it, even though it costs less.

Of course, you can wear the harness with the leg straps hanging loosely or detached, and that’s what many people use this type of construction for in practice. But then it’s the waistband alone that keeps the front plate in place, and the plate then has a much greater tendency to slide upward under load. The leg straps are not decoration—they are what keeps the angle in place.

How is the dildo mounted in the You2Toys Universal Harness?

The order is always the same with an O-ring harness. First choose the ring that fits your toy: the ring should let the shaft pass through without you having to force it, but not have so much play that the shaft can move side to side. Insert the ring into the front plate—on this model, according to Vuxenkul, four loops hold the ring in place. Then thread the dildo through the ring from the inside out, so that the base ends up against the inside of the plate. Put on the harness and tighten the waistband first and the leg straps last, in that order; if you do it the other way around, the plate will end up too high.

The requirement for the toy is that it has a base that is wider than the ring. The manufacturer describes it as a dildo or vibrator with a suction or stand base, and a suction-cup base is precisely why it’s the standard solution: it is wide, flat, and sits against the plate without being able to be pulled through. A dildo without a base—or one with a base narrower than six centimeters if you use the largest ring—can’t be used safely with this harness at all.

A practical note about the order between the ring and the plate: since the rings are interchangeable, it’s the ring and not the dildo that is the consumable part in the system. If you have multiple toys in different sizes, you swap the ring instead of the harness, and that’s exactly the flexibility the manufacturer is selling the product on. Three rings effectively means that one and the same harness works for three different toy sizes without needing to buy anything else.

Which dildos fit in a 4-, 5-, or 6-centimeter ring?

The ring diameter is measured on the ring’s inner measurement and matched to the dildo’s circumference at the point where it rests in the ring—that is, at the lower part of the shaft and not at the thickest point. What can be established without guessing is the range: from 4 to 6 centimeters is a 50 percent range in diameter, and because the circumference increases proportionally to the diameter, that corresponds to an equally wide range in shaft circumference. Few harnesses in this price range cover so wide a range. The most important practical consequence is that you should measure your dildo before you choose the ring—a measuring tape around the shaft just above the base, divided by 3,14, gives you the diameter you need to match.

The manufacturer does not state any maximum weight or length that this toy harness is intended for, and that is a piece of information that is missing across the entire product category rather than just here. What that means in practice is that a heavy dildo always loads the front plate and the seams more than a light one, and that a very long dildo creates a longer lever arm and therefore greater pulling force in the same seams. No manufacturer in the comparison lists any strength limit.

Cleaning, care, and storage

Taboo states that the harness is washed with mild soap and warm water. This is in line with the manufacturer’s own material guidance, which is the most useful care source available for the product: ORION writes that harsh cleaning agents and massage oil can damage PU, and that the coating can be worn away if you clean too aggressively. The wear itself is described by the manufacturer as harmless, but it is permanent—a synthetic leather that has been worn shiny or cracked cannot be restored.

Is the You2Toys Universal Harness waterproof? What the manufacturer says—and what the store says

Here you’ll find the clearest contradiction between the sources. The manufacturer does not publish any IP rating, any waterproofness information, or any washing instructions at all for this item. Vuxenkul, however, has a line in its specification table that reads "Water-resistant: Yes".

The manufacturer is right when the information doesn’t align, and the conclusion is therefore that the harness should be treated as a textile and synthetic leather product without any waterproofness rating. In practice, that means wiping with a damp cloth and mild soap—not immersion, and absolutely not a washing machine. Water damage to synthetic leather doesn’t show up right away; instead, once the product has dried, it appears as a hardened surface and cracks in the coating. The metal rivets and rings are chrome-plated, but they are not stated to be stainless steel. For a store to write "water-resistant" about a product where the manufacturer writes nothing at all is exactly the kind of information that shouldn’t form the basis for how you care for your harness.

The rings are the only thing that can be rinsed off separately without any objections, because they are interchangeable and therefore removable. In fact, this design has a hygienic advantage that’s easy to miss: the part that has been in direct contact with the toy can be lifted out and cleaned on its own, while the strap is wiped/dried off.

For storage, the same logic applies as for all artificial leather. Let the strap dry completely before putting it away; store it stretched out or loosely rolled up rather than tightly folded — a sharp crease in a PU coating becomes a crack over time — and keep it away from direct sunlight and heat. The manufacturer doesn’t include a storage pouch; the delivery consists of the strap and the three rings in a hanging package measuring 14.7 × 6.8 × 19.5 centimeters.

Durability: seams, rivets, and what isn’t reported

On a product without electronics, there are only three ways it can break: a seam comes loose, a rivet detaches, or the coating cracks. That makes the durability issue easier to discuss than on a battery-powered product — and at the same time harder to substantiate, because no manufacturer publishes strength data for straps.

What there is to go on is the construction and a single published customer voice. Lekosmek promises two years of product warranty on its product page, but that is the store’s own commitment and not the manufacturer’s, and in that case it applies only to purchases from that store.

Three comparisons are relevant: versus You2Toys’ own cheaper harness, versus a more expensive harness with the same function from another manufacturer, and versus the option of buying a harness with a dildo already mounted. All the information below comes from the respective product’s datasheet from the manufacturer, and the Swedish prices from the shops’ product feeds on 12 September 2026.

Compared with You2Toys Universal harness + 3 Rings — ten euro for a one-centimeter ring diameter

The sister model has article number 05132530000 and the barcode 4024144533626, and the manufacturer’s recommended price is 19.95 euro versus 29.95 euro for the model we’re looking at here. Ten euro is the difference in the manufacturer’s price list, and for that difference you get three concrete things.

The first is the rings. Universal Harness has 4, 5 and 6 centimeters in chrome-plated metal. Universal harness + 3 Rings has 4, 4.5 and 5 centimeters in nitrile rubber. So both the largest size and the material differ: one extra centimeter at the top, and a ring that doesn’t stretch. The second is the waist: 155 centimeters versus 134 centimeters, a difference of twenty-one centimeters in the upper limit. The third is weight, and it goes the opposite way: 265 grams versus 152 grams. So the more expensive harness is almost twice as heavy, which is to be expected when the rings are made of metal and the waist strap is wider.

One point clearly goes to the cheaper model: the leg straps. 82 centimeters versus 48 centimeters is not a marginal difference, and for anyone who needs a lot of leg strap it’s crucial. The cheaper model also, as mentioned, has a more detailed materials declaration — chloroprene rubber in the bands, polyester in the harness, nitrile rubber in the rings, and copper- or zinc-plated metal in the rivets — which is a strange order when the more expensive model only gets two words.

Conclusion: if you need a six-centimeter ring or a 155-centimeter waist, there’s no other way within the brand. If you don’t need either one, you pay ten euro in the manufacturer’s price list for features you don’t use, and in return you get shorter leg straps.

Compared with King Cock Elite Comfy Body Dock — what an extra 45 euro in list price buys

King Cock Elite Comfy Body Dock Strap-on Harness, article 05468950000, has the manufacturer’s recommended retail price at 75.00 euro versus 29.95 euro for Universal Harness. So it’s about two and a half times more expensive in the list price, and the comparison clearly shows where the money goes: in the cost breakdown and in the adjustment range.

For King Cock’s harness, the manufacturer publishes a body plate measuring 13 × 14 × 5 centimeters, a docking recess with a diameter of 8.6 centimeters, a hip circumference that is adjustable from 61 to 137 centimeters, a weight of 160 grams in the product text, and the materials ABS, PU, and polyamide. For You2Toys’ harness, no plate dimensions are published, no minimum waist measurement, and no breakdown of the material by component. It’s the same manufacturer’s catalog and the same data template—the difference is simply how much information was filled in.

Functionally, they also differ. King Cock’s harness uses a docking recess instead of interchangeable rings, which means a fixed opening with a diameter of 8.6 centimeters and no way to adjust the size. You2Toys’ harness has three rings to choose from, but no padded body plate. The hip span 61–137 centimeters is also a different kind of specification than a single maximum value: it describes both the upper and the lower limit, which the specification about 155 centimeters does not do.

If you choose based on the published specifications and on padded comfort, King Cock’s harness wins. If you choose based on adjustability to different toys and on price, Universal Harness wins—and you do that with a good margin—295 SEK versus a list price of 75 euro is no even match.

Against You2Toys Umschnall-Dildo — when it’s easier to buy everything at once

The third option is to skip the ring system entirely. You2Toys Umschnall-Dildo, article 05118030000, is a harness with the dildo already in place, attached with a metal ring with push-button clasps, and with a waist that, according to the manufacturer, is adjustable to about 110 centimeters. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 59.95 euro.

The calculation example is simple. Universal Harness costs 295 SEK and contains no dildo. Umschnall-Dildo costs 59.95 euro at list price and contains one. Unless you already own a dildo with a suction or stand foot, it’s not a given that the cheaper harness will be cheaper overall—and that’s the most important objection to buying an O-ring harness as your first strap-on.

On the other hand, it’s precisely the ring system that gives the product its service life. A harness with a fixed attached dildo is locked to a single size and a single shape, while Universal Harness works with every new toy you buy as long as it has a wide base. The waist specification also speaks in favor of Universal Harness: about 110 centimeters versus 155 centimeters.

Price range: 295 to 299 SEK, and two stores with stock

Five Swedish stores sell the item with EAN 4024144523832. The lowest price is Joyland at 295 SEK, and the highest price is Vuxen, Vuxenkul, Lekosmek, and Taboo, all at 299 SEK. There is a difference of 4 SEK, or roughly 1.4 percent, between the cheapest and the most expensive store.

That spread is remarkably small. In this category, differences of fifty to one hundred and fifty percent are more common for the same item number, and the fact that four out of five stores land on exactly the same SEK suggests that they all follow a recommended price rather than pricing independently. The manufacturer’s recommended price is 29.95 euro, and 299 SEK is the natural Swedish equivalent of that level. Practically, this means there isn’t much to gain from comparing prices here — but there’s a lot to gain from comparing stock status.
