That’s an important clarification, because Satisfyer sells a battery-powered product under exactly the same name, with its own EAN, a lower enclosure rating, and a different number of vibration programs. More about that difference shortly — it’s the single most common source of confusion about this model in Swedish stores.

The manufacturer’s recommended price is 69.95 euros.
• Battery-powered (EAN 4061504084022) — requires two AAA batteries that are not included. Enclosure rating IPX6, eleven pressure wave intensities and twelve vibration programs, 85 × 40 × 120 millimeters, 99 grams, black. The manufacturer’s recommended price is 38.95 euros, meaning roughly half.

The difference that actually matters in everyday life is the IP rating (the enclosure class). The battery-powered version is IPX6 and therefore can’t be submerged in water, while the rechargeable one is IPX7 and can. The manufacturer also spells out the consequence in its own text: the rechargeable version comes along with the whirlpool and shower, while the battery-powered one is only described as suitable for the shower.

The practical problem is that Swedish stores don’t always make that distinction clear. One of the eight stores in the price table on this page also sells both variants, and the battery-powered one costs 299 SEK — exactly the same price as the rechargeable one costs at the cheapest store. So check the EAN number or the phrase "battery powered" in the product name before you order. If you pay 299 SEK, you should get the rechargeable IPX7 model, not the battery-powered one that normally costs half of the manufacturer price.

Material and build quality: silicone and ABS plastic

The material issue is the only characteristic of an intimate product that can’t be compensated for through experience or care, and it determines whether the product is still hygienic after five years. Satisfyer specifies two materials for the Pro 4 Couples: silicone and ABS plastic. It’s the same combination of materials that the brand lists for the Double Joy Connect App, and it’s an important difference compared with the Pro 2 Generation 3, where the manufacturer instead describes a seamless casing entirely made of body-friendly silicone.

What the combination of silicone and ABS plastic means in practice

Silicone is a non-porous material. A non-porous surface can be cleaned, because there are no microscopic cavities where residue can get trapped. This is the single most important property of a material that’s meant to sit against the mucous membrane, and that’s why the material declaration weighs more heavily than almost all other lines in a specification. It is a weaker declaration than the one We-Vibe provides for Sync Go, where the manufacturer expressly states body-friendly silicone without phthalates and BPA and made without latex. The difference in wording is not automatically a difference in content, but the person who wants the commitment in writing does not get it here.

What can still be said is that both silicone and ABS are material categories that do not require phthalate plasticizers to function. Silicone gets its softness from the polymer’s own structure, and ABS is intended to be rigid. These are numbers that deserve interpretation, because they describe a U-shape and not a straight product: in practice, the height of 97.3 millimeters is the distance between the two arms of the U-shape plus the body, while the length of 117.6 millimeters is the product’s full extent.

Compared with the alternatives, it’s a medium-sized product in its class. Satisfyer’s own Double Joy Connect App measures 91.4 × 41.8 × 57.4 millimeters and weighs 78 grams, meaning it’s both shorter, lower, and lighter. We-Vibe Sync Go, which is the smallest of the compared models, measures 77.4 × 29.7 × 45.2 millimeters. Pro 4 Couples is therefore clearly larger than both the dedicated C- and U-shaped couple vibrators—which is the direct result of it housing an air pressure pump in addition to the vibration motor.

Ninety-seven grams is also low in absolute terms. For comparison, Satisfyer lists 203 grams for Pro 2 Generation 3, which is a handheld product. That a wearable product is light matters for a different reason than the fact that a handheld is light: a heavy wearable product droops downward and loses contact with the clitoris. What can be established is that 97 grams distributed over a U-shape is a reasonable starting point for the product to stay in place, but the fit still determines it.

Eleven air pressure steps, ten vibration programs, and two motors

The manufacturer’s own feature graphic describes it as an intuitive control of the eleven pressure-wave and ten vibration programs, and the specification states that there are two separately controllable motors. So it’s a product with two independent “scales” rather than a single program list.

If you calculate combinations, it’s eleven pressure-wave intensities multiplied by ten vibration programs—so 110 possible settings—plus the modes where only one motor is active. That’s more combinations than on the Satisfyer Double Joy Connect App, which lists ten vibration programs and two motors but no air pressure function, and it’s a different kind of adjustability than on Pro 2 Generation 3, which has eleven pressure-wave programs and twelve vibration programs but is meant to be held against the clitoris.

Two separately controllable motors—what it means in practice

That the motors are separately controllable is the feature that sets this product apart from most couple vibrators in this price range, and it’s worth understanding before buying. The same applies to the brand’s other models in the comparison, and We-Vibe also does not provide a value for Sync Go.

What can, however, be established is two things. The first is that air-pressure products, as a category, are quieter than vibrators with rotating eccentric motors, because the sound comes from a pump rather than from an unbalanced weight. The second is more specific to this construction: the product is worn between two bodies during intercourse, which in practice dampens the sound more than if the same motor were in a product that’s held freely in the air.

A practical tip that applies regardless of the model: place the product on a soft surface between uses. A hard desktop works like a resonance box and noticeably amplifies the sound. And treat every decibel figure you see for this model on other websites with skepticism — it isn’t found at the manufacturer.

Water resistance: what IPX7 actually means

Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples in the rechargeable design is rated IPX7. The rating comes from the international standard IEC 60529, which defines enclosure classes for electrical equipment. The number 7 in the second position means that the product has been tested for submersion in water to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. The manufacturer states the consequence plainly in its own text: the product is waterproof and can be used in a hot tub or shower.

It’s also one of the clearest differences compared to the battery-powered version of the same product, which is listed as IPX6. IPX6 means, according to the same standard, protection against powerful jets of water, but not against submersion. So the difference between the two numbers is the difference between “handles the shower” and “handles the bathtub,” and it’s worth checking before you choose a variant. If a product has no IPX rating at all, you should treat it as not waterproof — the absence of a rating is never a sign that the product has been approved.

Cleaning, lubricant, and storage

Rinse the product in lukewarm water after every use. The manufacturer states that lukewarm water, soap, and a disinfecting toy cleaner are suitable methods. Be especially careful with the inside of the air-pressure chamber — it’s the only part where water and residue can remain, and the chamber isn’t removable on this model in the way the top is on Satisfyer’s Pro 2 series. Wipe it off with a clean towel and let it air-dry before putting it away.

The choice of lubricant isn’t free. The manufacturer expressly recommends water-based lubricant. Silicone-based lubricant should not be used on silicone products—it breaks down the silicone surface over time and makes it porous, and a porous surface can no longer be cleaned properly; it only becomes a matter of replacing it. Oil-based products such as coconut oil leave a film that is difficult to remove and that can also interfere with the seal between the chamber and the skin.

The storage has a detail that’s easy to miss. The quick guide states a storage temperature of −5 °C to +60 °C. This rules out boiling water and a dishwasher, despite IPX7, and it also rules out leaving the product in a car on a hot summer day. A storage bag is not included according to the manufacturer’s information—unlike We-Vibe Sync Go, where a travel case is expressly listed in the package contents.

Battery and charging: 220 mAh and approximately 60 minutes of operating time

This is the section where the rechargeable Pro 4 Couples has its clearest weakness, and the manufacturer publishes enough data for it to be possible to say exactly why. The quick guide specifies a lithium-ion battery of 3.7 volts with a capacity of 220 mAh, a charging voltage of 5 volts, a maximum charging current of 500 milliamps, a charging time of about 1.5 hours, and an operating time of about 60 minutes.

Sixty minutes is short. For comparison, We-Vibe states an operating time of 90 minutes for Sync Go with a 90-minute charging time—that is, fifty percent longer operation on the same charging time within a little under half an hour. That Pro 4 Couples still only charges in 1.5 hours is logical given the capacity: 220 mAh is a small cell, and a small cell fills up quickly. What can be established is that the short operating time is not primarily due to high power consumption, but because the battery is small.

How is Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples charged?

Charging is done via a magnetic charging cable that plugs into USB, and the cable is included in the package. The manufacturer’s functional diagram expressly points out the magnetic charging connection, and the two contact pins are visible on the underside of the product in the manufacturer’s own product images.

Magnetic charging is a trade-off, not a pure advantage. The advantage is that you don’t need an opening in the housing, which makes it easier to achieve IPX7 without a rubber plug. The disadvantage is that the cable is product-specific: if you lose the charging cable, no regular USB-C cable will work, and you have to get a replacement. Satisfyer sells a USB charging cable itself as a separate accessory, but it’s still an extra point of dependency. It’s a real difference compared with Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3, which according to the manufacturer is charged with a completely standard USB-C cable, and compared with We-Vibe Sync Go, which is charged via a standard USB cable.

A detail from the quick guide that is worth knowing: the maximum charging current is specified as 500 milliamperes. That means a powerful fast charger is of no benefit here — and that an old USB port on a computer is completely enough.

Sixty minutes of operating time — is that enough?

The answer depends entirely on how the product is used, and here it actually makes more sense than it looks. A caged couples vibrator is used during intercourse, not for hours at a time, and an hour of continuous operation covers most situations. The problem instead shows up over time: 220 mAh is a small cell, and the capacity of a lithium-ion battery drops with the number of charge cycles. The two have more in common than you might think: both have two motors, both are IPX7, both are silicone and ABS plastic, both charge with a magnetic USB cable, and both have a fifteen-year warranty.

The differences are two, and they go in different directions. Double Joy is app-controlled via Satisfyer Connect, with the ability to control it remotely and create your own patterns, and it is smaller and lighter: 91.4 × 41.8 × 57.4 millimeters and 78 grams versus Pro 4 Couples 117.6 × 38.3 × 97.3 millimeters and 97 grams. Pro 4 Couples, on the other hand, has something that Double Joy completely lacks — the air-pressure chamber with eleven pressure-wave intensity levels. Double Joy has ten vibration programs and nothing else.

The conclusion is unusually easy to put into words: if you want touch-free clitoral stimulation in a caged partner vibrator, there’s only one of the two options—and it’s also the cheaper one. If you want app control and distance functions, there’s only the other one. The fact that Satisfyer doesn’t sell a model with both functions is the real answer to the question of which one you should choose.

Compared with We-Vibe Sync Go — 547 SEK apart, and two different philosophies

We-Vibe Sync Go costs from 846 SEK, i.e. 547 SEK more than Pro 4 Couples at its cheapest—almost three times the price. On the specification, you get some of what explains the difference, but not everything.

Sync Go measures 77.4 × 29.7 × 45.2 millimeters and is therefore clearly the smallest of the models compared. It has 90 minutes of operating time versus Pro 4 Couples at about 60, charges via a standard USB cable instead of with a product-specific magnetic cable, is app-controlled, comes with a travel case, and has a material declaration that explicitly states body-friendly silicone without phthalates and BPA, made without latex. Both are IPX7.

What Pro 4 Couples has that Sync Go doesn’t is air-pressure technology—Sync Go is a pure vibration product—and the warranty period. We-Vibe states a two-year warranty for Sync Go, while Satisfyer states fifteen years. That’s a difference of thirteen years on paper, with the important caveat that Satisfyer’s warranty only starts running after the statutory warranty period in the buyer’s country has expired, and that it excludes batteries.

If you compare on size, operating time, charging cable, app features, and a clear material declaration, Sync Go wins. If you compare on price, air pressure, and warranty period, Pro 4 Couples wins—and the price difference is large enough that it should be a conscious choice rather than an assumption that more expensive is better.

Compared with the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 — same technology, completely different use

Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 costs from 298 SEK, i.e. 1 SEK less than Pro 4 Couples at its cheapest. Having two products in the same lineup with the same core technology so close in price makes the comparison interesting, because then the choice is only about what you want to do with the product.

Pro 2 Generation 3 is a handheld clitoral stimulator: 164 × 65 × 46 millimeters, 203 grams, eleven pressure-wave programs and twelve vibration programs, IPX7, a whisper mode, and—worth highlighting—a casing that the manufacturer describes as seamless body-friendly silicone instead of silicone plus ABS. It’s also charged with a standard USB-C cable, which is a concrete everyday advantage over the magnetic cable on Pro 4 Couples.

What Pro 2 Generation 3 can’t do is to be worn during sex, and that’s the whole reason Pro 4 Couples exists. Conversely, Pro 4 Couples can’t do what Pro 2 Generation 3 does best: to be controlled exactly by hand, millimeter by millimeter, with a top attachment swap for gentler stimulation. If you want air pressure for yourself, Pro 2 Generation 3 is the better product for the same money. If you want air pressure together with someone else, Pro 4 Couples is the only one of the two that works.

Price range: 299 to 729 SEK at eight shops

Eight Swedish shops sell the item with EAN 4049369015498. Cheapest is Mshop at 299 SEK, most expensive is Vuxenkul at 729 SEK. That’s 430 SEK, or a 144 percent difference, for the exact same item number, the same color, and the same packaging — one of the largest relative price spreads among the products reviewed here.

The inventory situation is better than for many other models. Five of the eight shops had the product in stock at the price check: Mshop at 299 SEK, Joyland at 331 SEK, Blush Me and SexleksakerOutlet at 349 SEK each, and Vuxen at 499 SEK. So the difference between the cheapest available and the second-cheapest available is 32 SEK, and between the cheapest and the most expensive available is 200 SEK. The three that lacked stock were at 364.65, 369, and 729 SEK respectively, and the price shown in a feed for a sold-out item is rarely what you actually end up paying when the item comes back in again.

One thing to pay attention to in this particular price table: one of the shops also sells the battery-powered version, and it’s listed there at 299 SEK. So if you see 299 SEK in a shop listing, you should check which of the two items it refers to. The rechargeable one has EAN 4049369015498 and an IPX7 ingress protection rating; the battery-powered one has EAN 4061504084022, an IPX6 ingress protection rating, and requires two AAA batteries that are not included.

Who is Satisfyer Pro 4 Couples for — and who is it not for?

It doesn’t suit you if you want app control or long-distance features — the obvious alternatives there are Satisfyer Double Joy Connect App and We-Vibe Sync Go. It doesn’t suit you if you need more than an hour of runtime, because the manufacturer specifies about 60 minutes. It doesn’t suit you if you want to be able to charge with the same cable as your phone, because the charging cable is magnetic and product-specific. It doesn’t suit you if you require a written commitment that the material is free from phthalates, BPA, and latex, because Satisfyer doesn’t publish such a statement for this model. In practice, that’s more of an advantage than a disadvantage, because Swedish complaint rights then come first and the warranty comes after — but it also means that the very first years are handled under Konsumentköplagen and not under the warranty.

The second is excluded. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects, but expressly excludes, among other things, lubricants, cleaning agents, and batteries included in the delivery. It also does not cover damage caused by improper use, by anything other than original accessories, external impacts, or its own repair attempts, nor external modifications due to wear or an accident. The fact that the built-in battery is outside the warranty is the most important point in this context, because it is the component most likely to fail first.

The third is handling. You must report the defect in writing within one month from when you received it or should have become aware of it; you must be able to show the original receipt, and you send in the product at your own expense and risk. The manufacturer, in turn, is responsible for shipping the replacement product. A refund of the purchase price is offered only if the product was purchased in Satisfyer’s own web store—if you buy from any of the eight Swedish stores in the table above, an exchange applies.

What always applies, on the other hand, is your statutory rights. Under konsumentköplagen, you have three years to lodge a complaint in the event of defects in the goods, regardless of what the manufacturer promises. For distance purchases, you also have a right of withdrawal for fourteen days under lagen om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler. Be aware that in practice the right of withdrawal is limited for hygiene products that have been taken out of a sealed package—however, the right to complain for defects always applies.
