Choose a Fleshlight in three steps: first the format – Full Size, GO, Flight or Quickshot – by size and how much maintenance you can be bothered with, then the opening, and finally the texture. The material, SuperSkin, is the same in all of them, and it requires water-based lube, no soap on the sleeve and thorough drying.
Fleshlight sells a large number of models, but most differ only in texture and name. The case, material and care are the same within each format. That makes choosing simpler than the range makes it look:
Format first. It determines the size, whether there's suction to adjust, how long the sleeve takes to dry and whether it fits in a bag. Opening next: vaginal, anal, mouth or a non-anatomical opening. Texture last – that's the part where the manufacturer publishes the least comparable information, and where taste counts for more than specifications.

Fleshlight gives the size as what the sleeve accommodates, in inches of length and girth. One inch is 2.54 centimetres. This is what the formats look like according to the manufacturer's own information:
The classic Fleshlight. Fleshlight's FAQ states that Full Size accommodates 9–10 inches in length and up to 7½ inches in girth, roughly 23–25 and 19 centimetres respectively; some product pages say “up to 9 inches”. The case is 9.75 inches long and 3.88 inches wide according to the dimensions box on the packaging – 247.65 × 98.43 millimetres. The canal is closed at the back end, and the rear screw cap adjusts the suction continuously.
Full Size is the format with the greatest capacity and the most textures, but also the most demanding to look after: the manufacturer states 60 minutes of drying time in its own drying device, and air-drying takes longer.
A shorter case with the same principle. The packaging for GO Torque gives an overall length of 8.5 inches against Full Size's 9.75, and the sister model's dimension graphic a 7-inch insertion depth. The manufacturer states that the GO range accommodates up to 8 inches in length and 6½ inches in girth. So the difference from Full Size is about 3 centimetres in length – less than you might think.
The travel format in a discreet, tapered case. The product page for Flight Pilot states up to 7 inches in length and 5½ inches in girth, while the FAQ gives 7–8 inches for the whole Flight range. Flight has a screw-off end cap and continuously adjustable suction like a Full Size. The manufacturer states 40 minutes of drying time for Flight and GO.
The smallest, and the only one that's open at both ends. Quickshot is 4.4 inches long with a 3.5-inch insertion depth according to the dimension graphic, and the range size is 4 inches in length and 4½ inches in girth. Because the canal is open, the insertion depth sets no upper limit on length – but there's no suction to adjust, and the sleeve only encloses part of the length.
Girth is the limit. Fleshlight itself writes that anyone who is thicker than about 5.5 inches, 14 centimetres, in girth at any point may find Quickshot too tight, and refers them to the full-size models instead. The advantage is the care: the sleeve rinses clean straight through and dries in 20 minutes in the manufacturer's drying device.
Fleshlight's returns policy only accepts unopened and unused goods, within 30 days of delivery. Opened or used products aren't accepted at all. Shops have their own terms, but the right of withdrawal is generally limited for sealed hygiene products that have been opened. So the size needs to be right from the start.
Measure the girth around the thickest point when erect with a soft tape measure, or a piece of string you then measure against a ruler. Compare with the format's girth: Quickshot has a stated limit of about 14 centimetres, Flight gives 5½ inches (about 14 centimetres), GO 6½ inches (about 16.5 centimetres) and Full Size 7½ inches (about 19 centimetres). If you're close to the limit for a format, choose the one above.
Length is rarely the problem. A Full Size accommodates the most, but a sleeve doesn't have to enclose the whole length to work – and Quickshot is open at the other end.
The opening is the only difference between the textures that actually changes the construction. Fleshlight sells the same mould in several variants, each with its own EAN number, and it's easy to order the wrong one – check the variant before you add it to your basket.
Vaginal (Lady) is the most common. Anal (Butt) is available for several of the Fleshlight Girls models: Lana Rhoades Karma is the anal counterpart to Destiny, and Elsa Jean comes as Tasty (vaginal) and Treat (anal). Mouth is less common; Riley Reid Insomnia is a mouth mould. Non-anatomical openings include Flight Pilot, GO Torque and Quickshot Turbo – they look like a design rather than a body, which some people prefer.
Each texture has a name and a written description, but Fleshlight publishes no comparable measurements for it – neither canal diameter, number of chambers nor firmness. What you have to go on is the manufacturer's descriptions and, for some models, cross-section images on the packaging. Some examples of how the descriptions differ:
Riley Reid's three textures are ranked by the manufacturer itself: Insomnia is labelled “Highest Suction Effect” and “Top Rated Overall”, Euphoria “Tightest Feel” and Utopia “Most Intense”. Lana Rhoades Karma is described in four sections – wide sculpted pockets, compression rings, angled ridges and tapering chambers – while Destiny does the opposite and starts with rings. Elsa Jean Tasty is described as rounded chambers, a smoother central canal and a twisted finish.
Turbo Tech is a patented system with suspended entry rings that, according to the manufacturer, grip around the shaft, and it comes both in Full Size and as Quickshot Turbo. Stamina Training Unit has the Endurance texture with large nubs throughout the canal, rated as “tight” in the manufacturer's product data and marketed for stamina training.
The practical advice: don't choose a texture based on someone else's ranking. Within the Fleshlight Girls range the models share case, material and care, so choose by format and opening first – and then by the description that appeals to you.
The sleeve is the soft insert in the case, and it's the part that wears. The sleeve in a Fleshlight is removable in every format – it has to be taken out to be rinsed and dried.
Many full-size sleeves are also sold separately, without a case. Elsa Jean Tasty is one example where the manufacturer sells the sleeve on its own, and Riley Reid Insomnia is available as a variant without a case. So if you already have a case, you can change texture or replace a worn sleeve without buying a new case. There are exceptions: Fleshlight states that the Stamina Training Unit isn't sold as a separate sleeve, so a damaged STU sleeve means a whole new product.
The sleeve should never be turned inside out, either to clean it or to dry it. The manufacturer warns that this causes micro-tears that can become a breeding ground for mould.
Fleshlight describes SuperSkin as a mineral-based patented polymer made with food-grade white mineral oil. The manufacturer states that the material is phthalate-free and hypoallergenic, and writes in its FAQ that only the company's dildos are made of silicone – not the sleeves.
The difference from silicone is practical. Silicone is non-porous and can be washed with soap. SuperSkin isn't non-porous in the same way, can't take soap on the sleeve or hot water, and can become sticky once dry – which is why Fleshlight sells a maintenance powder, Renewing Powder, that's recommended but not compulsory. Fleshlight's own care guide describes nine steps. In brief:
1. Take the sleeve out of the case. 2. Rinse it with lukewarm – not hot – running water through the whole canal for about 30 seconds. 3. Cover one opening so the sleeve fills up, shake for five to ten seconds and rinse again. 4. Wash the case and caps separately; you can use soap on those. Soap is never used on the sleeve – the manufacturer refers you to its antibacterial spray instead. 5. Let the sleeve dry completely in a cool, dry, ventilated place before putting it back in the case.
Drying is what determines its lifespan. Fleshlight itself warns that mould can develop both inside and outside the sleeve if it isn't dried properly after every use. The manufacturer's drying device is stated to take 20 minutes for Quickshot, 40 for Flight and GO and 60 for Full Size; without it, it takes longer. Fleshlight writes in its FAQ that its products should never be used with anything other than water-based lube, as other types can damage the sleeve over time. That rules out silicone-based lube, oils, coconut oil, Vaseline and massage oil. And since soap can't be used on the sleeve, an oily film can't be washed off either.
Water-based lube dries out over time. Add a little water rather than more lube. A sample of the manufacturer's own lube is included in the box with several models. According to the manufacturer a condom can be used, but it should be lubricated with water-based lube, and the sleeve should be cleaned even then. Warmth. A sleeve at room temperature is cooler than the body. Fleshlight Sleeve Warmer is a heating rod that, according to the manufacturer, warms the sleeve to 40 degrees in under five minutes and then holds the temperature. It has no IP rating, so dry the sleeve before fitting it on and never submerge the warmer.
Mount. Shower Mount makes a Fleshlight hands-free against tiles or a smooth surface. For Flight a separate Flight Adapter is required, which isn't included.
Motor. The Quickshot format can be fitted into Fleshlight's motorised Quickshot Launch, and Autoblow states that a cap for A.I. Ultra fits Fleshlight sleeves. If a motor is mainly what you want, it's often simpler to choose a masturbator built for it – see automatic masturbator.
Choosing Quickshot despite a large girth. The manufacturer's limit is about 14 centimetres, and an opened sleeve won't be taken back.
Thinking a more expensive texture is better. Within the Fleshlight Girls range the case, material and care are the same; what you're paying for is the mould.
Using soap, hot water or the wrong lube on the sleeve. All three damage the material according to the manufacturer.
Putting a damp sleeve back in the case. That's how mould forms. Let it dry completely, even if it takes time.
Trusting the shop's specification. In our reviews, shops sometimes give the wrong material – silicone, among others – and IP ratings for sleeves that have no electronics. The manufacturer's page is what counts.
If the product is shared: use a condom and clean the sleeve between people. Stop if anything hurts or the skin becomes irritated, and contact a healthcare provider if the problem doesn't go away.
