A rabbit vibrator has a shaft that is inserted and an outer arm that rests against the clitoris, so you get internal and external stimulation at the same time. Whether it works for you depends mostly on whether the arm reaches the clitoris when the shaft is positioned correctly—so the most important things to compare are the arm’s shape and flexibility, the dimensions, and the ability to control the motors separately.
A rabbit vibrator is a vibrator with two parts in one: a shaft that is inserted into the vagina, and a shorter arm that protrudes from the base of the shaft and rests against the clitoris. The name comes from the fact that on the early models, the outer arm was shaped like a pair of bunny ears. The point is dual stimulation—the G-spot or the inside of the vagina, and the clitoris at the same time—without you needing two hands or two toys.
Technically, there are several variants available today. The classic rabbit vibrates in both the shaft and the arm. Modern models often have two motors, one in each part, which can be controlled separately. Some replace the vibration in the outer arm with air pressure, and others let the shaft thrust or rotate. The basics are the same: one part inside, one part on the outside.
For many, it’s the combination that makes the difference. Internal stimulation alone is rarely enough for orgasm, and clitoris stimulation alone can feel incomplete for someone who likes having something inside. A rabbit is meant to provide both—but only if it fits your body—and that’s what the rest of this guide is about.
The most common problem with rabbit vibrators is that the outer arm doesn’t end up on the clitoris when the shaft is in the position where it feels good. The distance between the vaginal opening and the clitoris differs from person to person, so an arm with a fixed angle and length is a perfect match for some and not at all for others.
Manufacturers solve it in different ways. We-Vibe Nova 2 has a flexible outer arm that’s designed to spring back toward the body instead of staying in a fixed angle, and an inner arm that can be bent in small steps at a marked adjustment point. Satisfyer specifies a flexible shaft with what they call Silikon Flex technology for Mono Flex. A stiff arm isn’t necessarily worse, but it requires that your anatomy matches the shape.
If the arm doesn’t reach: try inserting the shaft a little less or more, tilt the handle upward or downward so the arm presses against the clitoris, or change position—lying on your stomach with the toy between you and the mattress often provides more pressure. Some people think the arm feels best against the side of the clitoris rather than in the middle.
If the outer part has air pressure instead of vibration, the same rule applies as for a clitoral stimulator: the opening must seal tightly over the clitoris to work. Womanizer therefore includes two top sizes for the double-stimulator Duo 2, but no extra size is specified for Blend.
1. Charge and clean the toy, and have water-based lubricant ready.
2. Start on the outside. Use the outer arm or the tip of the shaft against the clitoris and labia on a low setting before inserting anything. This helps your body relax and become more receptive.
3. Lubricant on the shaft. Insert it slowly, preferably with the motor turned off or at the lowest level, until the outer arm meets the clitoris.
4. Adjust the angle. Move the handle slightly up and down until the arm sits correctly and the top of the shaft points toward the front wall. Many rabbits have a bent top that should rest against the G-spot—read more in so you can find the G-spot.
5. Control the motors separately if possible. Start with the outer arm, add the shaft, and increase step by step.
6. Move it a little, or not at all. Some people like moving the shaft back and forth, but often then the arm slips off the clitoris. Keeping the toy still and gently rocking it often works better.
Total length says quite a lot about a rabbit vibrator, because a large part of it is the handle. What matters is the length and diameter of the insertion part. Unfortunately, these two measurements are not always published by the manufacturer.Lelo Ina 3is an example of where they do: 110 millimeters of insertable length and 37.09 millimeters in diameter. Svakom lists 32 × 115 millimeters as the insert size for DuoGlowFor Nova 2, We-Vibe gives the total dimensions 217 × 85 × 39 millimeters but not the insertion part.
For most people, the diameter matters more than the length. The G-spot sits a bit in, not deep, so a long insertion part is rarely needed. A thick insertion part, on the other hand, can feel too much if you’re new. Weight and size also matter for how the toy feels in your hand. Womanizer lists 185 grams for Blend, while Fun Factory lists 336 grams for the thrusting Bi Stronic Arc. A heavier rabbit can be more stable, but also more tiring to hold for a long time.
The most important technical difference between rabbit vibrators is whether the two parts can be controlled separately. On a simpler model, the shaft and arm change position at the same time. On a model with two separately controlled motors, you can run the arm strong and the shaft weak, or turn off one part completely. Nova 2 has its own switching button that determines which motor the plus and minus control, and Satisfyer states that the two motors in Mono Flex can be controlled completely independently of each other.
Air pressure in the outer part is an option for anyone who thinks that vibration against the clitoris becomes too numbing.Satisfyer Pro G-spot Rabbit has eleven pressure-wave intensity levels and a vibrating G-spot shaft with a separate motor, and Womanizer Blend has eight air pressure levels and six vibration modes in the shaft.
Shocking rabbits, sometimes called pulsators, move the shaft back and forth by themselves. Fun Factory lists eight shock programs and six vibration programs for Bi Stronic Arc, and Svakom combines shocks, rotation, vibration, pulsing, and heat in DuoGlow. The price of this technology is often run time: Fun Factory states about 30 minutes for Bi Stronic Arc, and Svakom one hour per part for DuoGlow, compared with up to 120 minutes for Nova 2. Choose a rabbit with body-friendly silicone on all parts that come into contact with the body. Silicone is non-porous and easy to keep clean. Most models have a handle made of hard plastic, often ABS, which is non-porous but sounds and feels different.
Look for an explicit material declaration. We-Vibe states that Nova 2 is manufactured without phthalates, BPA, and latex, and Fun Factory states in its FAQ that its products are free from softeners, BPA, and phthalates. Not all manufacturers publish it: for Mono Flex, DuoGlow, and Pro G-spot Rabbit, no such declaration is published, which doesn’t mean the substances are present, but that the commitment is missing. Use a water-based lube. Silicone-based lube can break down the silicone surface, and LELO warns in the Ina 3 manual that silicone lubricants and hand cream can make the silicone permanently tacky. Don’t use a rabbit anally—several manufacturers, including Womanizer for Blend, explicitly state that their models are not designed for that.
Most modern rabbits are rated IPX7, which according to the standard IEC 60529 means they can handle submersion to a depth of one meter for 30 minutes. According to the manufacturers, this applies to all models in this guide except Ina 3, where LELO only writes "100 % watertight" without an IP rating. Never charge the toy while it’s wet, and check the rubber plugs: Fun Factory states that Bi Stronic Arc is sealed only when the plug over the USB-C port is pressed in.
The charging cable varies a lot. Nova 2, Mono Flex, and Blend have magnetic, product-specific cables that can’t be replaced with a regular USB-C. Bi Stronic Arc and Pro G-spot Rabbit, on the other hand, are charged with a standard USB-C—but the cable isn’t included according to the manufacturers. DuoGlow consists of two parts with their own batteries that, according to Svakom, must be charged separately.
Look at the relationship between run time and charging time. Satisfyer states about 60 minutes of run time on about four hours of charging for Mono Flex, while We-Vibe states up to 120 minutes of run time on up to 90 minutes of charging for Nova 2.
A rabbit has more nooks and crannies than a simple vibrator: the seam between the shaft and the arm, the buttons, and the transition toward the handle. Wash with lukewarm water and mild soap or a sex-toy cleaner right after use, rinse thoroughly if the toy is waterproof, and let it air-dry completely. If it has a removable air-pressure head, like Blend, you remove it and clean it separately.

If you’re unsure whether the arm will fit, a flexible arm is the safest choice—Nova 2 is built around exactly that problem. If you want to keep the cost down and still be able to control the motors separately, Mono Flex is an option, with a shorter run time. If you think vibration against the clitoris is too much, choose a model with air pressure. If you want to avoid having to make the movement yourself, a thrusting rabbit is the right type, but expect a shorter run time.
