Womanizer and Satisfyer are built on the same principle – pressure waves in a small chamber over the clitoris – but prioritise different things. Womanizer's models consistently have longer run times, all-silicone in the more expensive models and refinements such as Smart Silence, while Satisfyer more often combines air pulse with vibration and app control, promises a longer warranty and sits in a lower price bracket.
The difference between Womanizer and Satisfyer is less about the technology itself and more about what each brand spends its money on. Both sell air pulse toys where a soft head is placed over the clitoris and a pump creates pressure waves without vibrating against the skin. What sets them apart is battery, materials, charging, warranty and which extra features are included.
Womanizer focuses on stamina and fine-tuning. The Premium 2, Next and Pro all state 240 minutes of run time, and the Premium 2 and Next have stimulation heads in two sizes, fourteen intensity levels and Smart Silence. Satisfyer focuses on features for your money. Many models have two motors – air pulse and vibration in the same product – and several can be controlled with the Satisfyer Connect app. The run time, however, is typically about 60 minutes.
The rule of thumb: if you want the most adjustable and longest-lasting air pulse toy, look at Womanizer. If you want air pulse and vibration in the same toy, app control or a cheaper way into the technology, look at Satisfyer. Womanizer calls its technology Pleasure Air and describes it as touchless stimulation with pressure waves. Satisfyer calls its version Air Pulse and describes it the same way: a diaphragm pump creates alternating negative and positive pressure in a closed chamber, and the chamber is placed over the clitoris without touching it. Both brands state that the head resting against the body is made of silicone.
So the principle is the same, which is why the same basic advice applies whatever the brand: the opening should seal snugly around the clitoris, and it's the fit rather than the strength that determines whether it works. What can't be compared on paper is the sensation. Neither manufacturer publishes a measurable value for how strong the pressure waves are, and the experience is personal. What we can compare is how much can be adjusted, how long the battery lasts, what the products are made of and what the manufacturer promises if they break.
These are the differences that keep coming up when you put the brands' published specifications side by side. There are exceptions in both directions, and they're mentioned where they exist.
This is where the difference is biggest. Womanizer states 240 minutes of run time and 120 minutes of charging time for the Premium 2, Next and Pro. The smallest models last less: the Liberty 2 states 120 minutes and the Starlet 3 just 30 minutes.
Satisfyer states about 60 minutes of use for almost all models in its quick start guides – Pro 2 Generation 3, Pro 2+, Pro 3+, Traveler and Love Triangle. At the same time, the charging time is often longer than the run time: about 3 hours for the Pro 2 Generation 3 and about 4 hours for the Love Triangle. On the other hand, Satisfyer publishes the battery capacity in mAh in its quick start guides, which Womanizer only does for some models.
In practice, this means a Satisfyer needs charging more often. For anyone who uses the toy in short sessions it matters less than for anyone who wants to take it on a trip without a charger.
Womanizer lists body-safe silicone over the whole product for the Premium 2, Next and OG, and states on its warranty page that all products are free from phthalates, BPA and latex. The cheaper models – Pro, Liberty 2 and Starlet 3 – have an ABS plastic casing with silicone in the stimulation head.
Satisfyer lists silicone and ABS plastic in the specifications for the air pulse models we've reviewed, and states in its FAQ that the head of all Air Pulse products is made of silicone. Satisfyer doesn't publish an explicit commitment on phthalates, BPA and latex for the individual models. Both silicone and ABS are non-porous materials that can be cleaned thoroughly; more on that in safe materials in sex toys.
All Womanizer models in our reviews charge with a magnetic, product-specific cable. The cable is also explicitly excluded from the warranty, so a lost cable is replaced by buying a new one.
Satisfyer mixes it up. The Pro 2 Generation 3, Pro 2 Next Generation, Secret Kiss and Pro+ G-Spot charge with standard USB-C, while the Pro 2+, Pro 3+, Traveler and Love Triangle, for example, have a magnetic cable. If you'd rather not carry an extra cable in your bag, it's worth checking the specific model you're looking at.
Womanizer gives a five-year manufacturer's warranty, counted as 60 months from delivery. According to the terms, the product is replaced in case of a fault, but stimulation heads count as wear parts and charging cables as accessories, and both are excluded.
Satisfyer states a fifteen-year warranty, but the terms matter more than the figure. The warranty only starts once the statutory warranty period in the buyer's country has expired, the built-in battery is explicitly excluded and the buyer pays the shipping when sending it in. Satisfyer's warranty terms also list the countries where the warranty applies, so check the terms for the country where you live before you count on the fifteen years.
Womanizer's more expensive models have features that make the air pulse itself smarter. Smart Silence, on the Premium 2 and Next, means the product only starts on skin contact. Autopilot runs preset programmes within selected intensity ranges. Afterglow lets the stimulation fade out gradually. The Next also has Climax Control with three depth levels for the pressure waves, which together with fourteen intensity levels gives 42 combinations. None of the Womanizer models we've reviewed has app control.
Satisfyer instead adds more ways to stimulate. The Pro 2 Generation 3 has two separately controlled motors with eleven pressure wave programmes and twelve vibration programmes, and the Connect App version can be controlled via Bluetooth or the internet. Generation 3 also comes with an extra Liquid Air cap with a thin silicone membrane that according to the manufacturer gives a softer pressure wave. Among Womanizer's clitoris-only air pulse models, the Enhance is the only one with a separate vibration motor.
The Womanizer Premium 2, Next and Duo 2 come with stimulation heads in sizes S and M, and Womanizer sells replaceable type A heads for the Premium 2, Classic 2 and Starlet 3, among others. That makes it easier to find an opening that seals properly.
Satisfyer's extra cap on the Pro 2 Generation 3 changes the technology, not the size – both caps have the same opening. Satisfyer sells separate replacement caps for the Pro 2 series, but there's no equivalent to Womanizer's two sizes in the box. If fit matters to you, for example because a previous air pulse toy didn't seal properly, that points towards Womanizer.
Womanizer's strength is its pure air pulse models. The Premium 2 is the most balanced, the Next the most adjustable and the Pro the simplest with the same run time. We go through the whole range in Womanizer models explained.
Satisfyer's strength is its combination models. The Pro 2 Generation 3 is the most complete, the Pro 2+ (also sold as the Pro 2 Vibration) the smallest with two motors. These are the pairs most often pitted against each other. The comparisons are based on the manufacturers' published information.
The Premium 2 wins on run time (240 vs about 60 minutes), charging time (120 minutes vs about 3 hours), material (all-silicone) and fit (two head sizes). It's also smaller and lighter: 155 × 50 × 35 mm and 141.4 g vs 164 × 65 × 46 mm and 204 g.
The Pro 2 Generation 3 wins on features: a separate vibration motor, the Liquid Air cap, app control in the Connect version and charging with standard USB-C. The Premium 2 is for anyone who only wants air pulse and wants it to keep going for a long time without charging; Generation 3 is for anyone who wants to be able to switch between air pulse and vibration.
These are the entry-level models. Both have eleven intensity levels and air pulse only, and both have an ABS casing with silicone against the body. The Womanizer Pro states 240 minutes of run time on a 500 mAh battery; Satisfyer states 220 mAh for the Pro 2 Next Generation. The Next Generation charges with USB-C, the Pro with a magnetic cable. The Womanizer Pro has a five-year warranty, the Next Generation fifteen with the terms described above.
Both combine air pulse for the clitoris with a vibrating arm for the G-spot and have two separately controlled motors. Womanizer Duo 2 has fourteen air pulse levels, ten vibration patterns, two head sizes and 120 minutes of run time. Satisfyer Pro G-spot Rabbit has eleven pressure wave intensities and twelve vibration programmes, about 60 minutes of run time and charges with USB-C – but according to the manufacturer the cable isn't included. Both are small and have a cap that protects the chamber in your bag. Liberty 2 has eight intensity levels, a travel lock, 120 minutes of run time and 60 minutes of charging time. Satisfyer Traveler is even smaller, 107 × 46 × 35 mm and 56 g, with eleven pressure wave intensities but about 60 minutes of run time. Tips on packing toys can be found in travelling with sex toys.
Choose Womanizer if you want pure air pulse stimulation with a long run time, if you want to be able to choose the head size, if all-silicone and an explicit material declaration matter to you, or if you want features such as Smart Silence and Autopilot. The Premium 2 is the safe choice; the Next is for anyone who wants to be able to set the depth.
Choose Satisfyer if you want air pulse and vibration in the same toy, if you want to be able to control it with an app, if you'd rather charge with standard USB-C, or if you want to try the technology without spending a lot of money. The Pro 2 Generation 3 is the most complete; the Pro 2+ and Pro 3+ give you two motors in a smaller format.

Comparing the number of programmes as if it were power. More levels mean finer adjustment, not more power, and neither Womanizer nor Satisfyer publishes a measure of how strong the pressure waves are.
Counting warranty years without reading the terms. Satisfyer's fifteen years exclude the battery, which is what most often gives out, and only start after the statutory period. Womanizer's five years exclude heads and cable.
Mixing up model names. Satisfyer has sold several products under the name Pro 2, and Womanizer has both the Pro and the Pro40. Check the EAN number in the product information when you compare.
Using silicone-based lube. Both manufacturers recommend water-based lube, as silicone-based lube can damage the silicone surface. More in which lube should you choose.
